***** Alice smiled as she lightly gripped the straps of her backpack in both hands and stepped out of the woods into one of her all time favorite spots. The meadow was huge and although the flowers were beginning to die out, fall hadn't completely killed out all of the bright colors. There were still scattered patches of flowers holding on but Alice knew it wouldn't be long before the cooling temperatures killed the flowers which wouldn't return to the meadow until the following spring. It was something that Alice hated to see but she knew it was the cycle of life. Things were born, they lived, then they died. There was nothing she or anybody else could do to stop that cycle and as she stepped further into the clearing her mother's warning rang in her ear.
"Alice you need to stop going out into the woods alone. There have been a few bear sightings recently and I don't want you getting hurt." Esme's words constantly rang in Alice's head but Alice had grown up playing in the woods and had yet to see a bear. For somebody who was the epitome of a girly girl at school, a lot of people were surprised to discover that Alice was also a frequent hiker. It had been on one of her hiking trips that Alice had discovered this meadow and it was a place that she normally came out to on her own. Of course it was a decent length hike which meant that any time Alice wanted to come out here she had to pack herself a lunch, which was exactly what she had done that day.
Moving out towards the center of the clearing, Alice removed the straps of her backpack from her shoulders then set the pack down on the ground as she knelt down next to it. Pulling out her lunch, Alice then pulled out her small blanket which she had stuffed into the bottom. Laying it out on the ground, Alice tucked her lunch back into her pack then laid out on top of her blanket. Staring up at the sky, Alice watched the clouds that passed as she let her mind wander and let the sounds of the birds and the soft breeze blowing the trees fill her thoughts and relax her body.

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all.

Surprisingly it was a non rainy day in Fork, probably the first one since Jasper had moved to the area with his sister. Jasper had picked this town though so he couldn't complain, he needed the rain, the constant overcast skies to hide behind and still have a normal life, well as normal as he could have considering he was a vampire. Tugging at the straps of his backpack to secure them Jasper took off running through the forest, having no concern if someone saw him or not though the chances of anyone being out here with him were very slim. He was only in the forest for one reason, he had school on Monday and needed to feed before returning or else Forks High's population may drop by one or two, and he couldn't afford a slip up like that here, this place was to perfect for him to have to leave. Sighing as he ran the boy stopped when he caught a scent that seemed completely out of place, but was even more desirable than the animal he had been tracking, the scent was clearly human and one that he was about to meet whether they were aware of it or not. We're in the middle of no where in the woods, one slip I can hide the body it'll be fine. Rose never has to know about this one. . The thoughts played in his mind, even if they brought upon some vexation at the fact he was having trouble restraining from human blood, Maria said it would never get easier though, he'd always be haunted by it, how Jasper wished that she was just lying to him.
Starting to run again Jasper noticed he was headed toward a meadow he'd stumbled upon earlier that day, great he wouldn't have to track them down among the trees and play a short game of catch the fleeing human. It only took a minute or two running full sped for the boy to reach the meadow and spot a girl, laying in the center of it apparently cloud watching. Checking the skies to make sure there was enough cloud coverage Jasper put on the best fake smile he could muster and stepped out into the meadow from his place hidden in the shadows. He'd be approaching from behind her, he was being insanely careful not to step on any of the leaves that had fallen in the meadow knowing that they would crunch giving him away. Unfortunate for him He had wasn't expecting to avoid one particularly large pile of dead leaves only to step onto a downed branch that gave way with a nice clean cracking sound that filled the meadow and he was about ten feet away from the girl. Jasper's smile faltered for he now had a choice, either try and play nice and pose as someone who was just hiking in the area or rush at her and end her life. A second or two passed before he made his choice and kept walking at a human pace toward the girl and gave the warmest smile he could possibly before speaking having his New Yorker accent play on his words. "Lovely day for a hike huh?"

***** Closing her eyes, Alice took a deep breath before slowly letting it out as she opened her eyes to look overhead again. It really was peaceful out here and if she could she would definitely build a home in this meadow or one as similar to it as she could get. She really loved having all the open space to move around in and while she loved having people to talk to, she knew that when the time came to get a place of her own that she would find a place with plenty of space around it since she hated feeling like her neighbors were in her lap. while Alice loved the home that she shared with her mother and sister, the truth was that the fact that she could see into some of her neighbors rooms from some of the rooms in her house was extremely annoying. She constantly felt as if she were being watched.
Closing her eyes again, Alice was just letting the sounds of nature envelope her when she heard the snap of a twig and she instantly sat up. It didn't take her long to spot the guy heading towards her and a small smile played on her lips as her hand instinctively went for her backpack. It wasn't exactly the best weapon but she did have a pocket knife that she kept in her backpack that she used when she was hiking. Mainly it was used as a tool to cut wild flowers to bring home to her mother but in this case if the guy tried something then the knife would be put to a more dangerous use. Trying not to show her panic since panic never helped anybody but also knowing that her heart was racing Alice kept her forced smile on her lips so that the guy wouldn't know that he had her worried.
"Yes it is. I wasn't expecting to run into anybody out here." Alice said as she pulled her backpack close and held on to the straps. If she had to she'd bolt and leave her blanket behind. She may not have been close to her father but she could tell him where to find her blanket once she got back into town and he as well as some of his men could join her in her hike out into the woods to retrieve it. Wanting to give the guy the benefit of the doubt however, Alice kept her smile in place and asked: "Where did you come from? I honestly didn't think that many people knew about this place."

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all.
[/size][/center][/color] The smile that was on the boys lips faltered again as he saw her bolt into a guarded sitting position and hear the acceleration of her heart beat. Great, this is just what he needed, even more temptation that he already had, he could now hear the increased flow of her blood through her body. Even though she seemed to be seeking some sort of protection in her backpack a smile was on the girls lips, giving him the idea that she may have just been surprised at having been intruded upon when she more than likely thought she was completely alone out here in the meadow. Technically she wasn't with any living thing but he wasn't about to revel that bit of information to some random girl he was still debating whether or not would make a good meal. He had to admit as he continued to approach her, a bit more cautious now not wanting to upset her, there was something about her besides her blood that made her attractive to him.
Jasper eyed the brunette girl over before stopping at the edge of her blanket and gave a small wave of his hand to dismiss the question she'd laid upon him. It really wasn't any of his preys business where he came from was it? Well maybe if he wanted to play with his food, but then again he was raised better than that. "Well, kind of a long way way. . .I'm still somewhat new to the area and thought I'd go exploring in the woods some. It was mere luck stumbling into this clearing, but it seems to have potential for the spring." Jasper shifted his weight from one foot to the other before kneeling down some and dropping his backpack from his shoulders and faked a yawn as if he were tired from having been hiking in the area. Giving a quick glance around he made sure they were the only ones there and listened intently for any noise of any others who may be coming to join her, but heard nothing. There was still a good chance that this pretty girl may indeed become Jasper's lunch instead of whatever poor animal he had been tracking. "Mind if I join you for a little while?" [/b] The last the he wanted to do was make the girl uncomfortable with his presence so he figured he'd be polite and ask if she had a problem with him keeping her company. Tags~ Alice! Paragraphs~ 2

***** "It's absolutely gorgeous in the spring." Alice said with a polite smile as she glanced out and looked around the meadow. As she did she thought about all the flowers that bloomed and the butterflies and other creatures that made the place home. She absolutely loved the meadow during that time of year and had actually come out a couple years ago to take numerous pictures. She had a couple of them framed and hanging on her walls since staring at them almost made her feel like she was laying out in the meadow whenever she was laying on her bed. She knew some people might think that was a silly thought but it's just the way she was. It didn't take a whole lot to make the young brunette happy.
"Ummmm sure." Alice said when the guy asked if he could join her. Pulling her backpack close to her, Alice hoped the guy didn't try anything and hoped that she was just being paranoid. It wasn't like she was completely helpless. Her father may not have been the best father in the world but he had taught Alice a few simple self defense moves and considering this guy said he was new to the area, she had the upper hand since she knew these woods like the back of her hand. Smiling at the guy, Alice said: "I'm Alice by the way. Alice Swan. What's your name?"
Alice normally didn't introduce herself with her whole name but she was hoping that the guy wasn't so new to the area that he didn't know who her father was. Everybody in Forks knew Police Chief Charlie Swan and she could only hope that the guy would put two and two together and not try to attack the daughter of the police chief. It just wouldn't be the smartest move to make on his part.

[/size][/center][/color] "I'd imagine it is, with all the flowers and what not in bloom. You come here often then? He was curious now, if someone else knew she was here and came here often than it may be the first place they would check if she went missing. Which in turn meant he would have to carry the body off somewhere else, with the facts staring him in the face Jasper internally sighed and decided he best not kill the girl, though befriending her may still be an option, maybe. His smile returned and was partially genuine this time, not having to force one to play nice. The boy ran a hand through his honey blonde hair rustling it up some as the girl pulled her bag tighter to her body. "I'm harmless, really no threat what so ever so you can relax and stop suffocating your bag you know?." [/b] A light chuckle escaped his lips without him realizing after his statement, probably not the best thing to do after saying you're harmless but she seems smart enough to realize it was about the bag thing and not him. He nodded a bit in acknowledgment to her name, noting that she kind of stressed her last name a little bit. She trying to get at something with the Swan deal? Ehh who knows? The thoughts weren't important, what was is that he know had her name so if he decided she going to a be a victim, seeing how she smelt delicious, he could track her down in town fairly easily. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Swan. I'm Jasper Hale again, kinda new to the area." [/color] His voice was a bit low, but not low enough that she couldn't hear him hadn't really been around many humans besides Rose, so he wasn't exactly an expert on controlling the burning in his throat he was fighting to suppress at the moment. Grabbing his own bag Jasper undid the zipper and started digging through it for something before pulling it out and smiling after retrieving a small black object and checked to see if he had service and the time, and that he had two messages, both from Maria go figure. A frown played on his lips at the messages but not bothering to read them Jasper just deleted them before returning his attention to Alice. " So why are you out here by yourself? Don't you know you're suppose to use the buddy system when going off into the woods?" His tone was light and a bit teasing, nothing that would have offended the girl and make him seem like a jerk. ***** Alice smiled a bit in embarrassment when she realized that the guy had noticed her reaching for her bag. When he introduced himself Alice felt the color rush even more to her face as she told herself that she had definitely been overreacting. Rose's brother wouldn't do anything to her but then again she could have been wrong. Rose did say her brother's name was Jasper right? Trying to remember, Alice just pushed it aside and prayed she was right when she asked: "Jasper Hale? Are you Rosalie's twin? She mentioned that she had a twin brother when I met her at school."
Releasing her hold on her bag a bit, Alice visibly relaxed. She still wasn't completely relaxed since she didn't know anything about Jasper but since he was Rosalie's brother she figured that she'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Rose seemed like a nice person and Alice was sure that her brother had to be a decent person as well. After all, a person couldn't be sweet and have a total asshole for a sibling right? Sure siblings could be different people but they didn't really vary so much did they? Then again even if they were completely different maybe the fact that Alice was kind of friends with his sister would count for something. Alice only hoped that Jasper didn't hate his twin or something or his personality towards her might change.
"I know all about the buddy system and my dad has drilled that into my head but the truth is the buddy system has never been for me. I like the peace and quiet of nature and whenever I bring a buddy they start complaining long before we even get here. It's just a lot more peaceful to come out alone." Alice said with a small smile and a shrug of her shoulders. Looking at Jasper she asked: "What about you? Where's your buddy?"
Alice was still somewhat surprised to find him out here with her since it wasn't exactly a common area for most people. He hadn't come from the same direction that she had come from and as far as she knew there really wasn't anything else in any of the other directions. Sure there was La Push in one direction but that was even further from the meadow then from where she had started off so she doubted if he had come from that direction. Looking up at Jasper curiously Alice asked: "Where did you come from? Have you been out here in the woods long?"

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all.
[/size][/center][/color] A sigh escaped the boys lips as the girl made a connection between him and his twin. Great she knows Rosie, now I definitely can't eat her. The fact she knew Rosie made him a bit more curious to get to know the girl, seeing how she already knew a little bit about him it would only even the playing field. Though he was a bit upset at having lost such an appealing meal, especially when he was close enough to see and smell the blood pool into her cheeks at her slight blush. "You've meet Rosalie? Should have known she'd make friends already. He didn't really think about what he was saying but then again it was fitting that Rosalie had already made friends; after all she'd been going to school for a little while now and he hadn't started yet.
Alice was friends with his sister, made things a little different. Jasper and Rosalie got along great, it's just he never really befriended the same people as her, they came from two completely different crowds even if they were both popular back home. Jasper was more infamous for being that freak goth kid instead of the up-tight preps his sister tended to hang out with. This is where the trouble came in, it was a new place did he want to keep his old identity or start over with a whole new one? It was a simple answer but one he couldn't see at the moment as he was getting kind of lost in the blurry memories of the past. "Glad to know she's met some people, I haven't started school yet, kinda been taking care of getting us a place to live and what not ya know?" The boy spoke looking down at his phone catching the reddish tint to his eyes in the reflection and swore under his breath, hoping Alice wouldn't notice them.
She returned his teasing about the buddy system by inquiring where his buddy was which managed to get a small laugh from him. He didn't need a buddy, Jasper Hale was the single most dangerous thing in the forest at the moment and he knew that. "My buddy? I think I can take care of myself, I'm kind of indestructible" [/b] A smirk came at his joke, though it was actually true as far as he'd tested he was pretty much indestructible. He nodded a bit at the piece and quiet thing, he understood what that was like, Jasper had often snuck out back home to find some place to himself and probably would find places here in Forks to do the same. "Well you see when a mommy and daddy love each other very much they participate in a special kind of hug,"[/b] A smile was snaking it's way onto his lips before he gasped as if he realized he'd said something wrong, "Oh! You mean like place specifically not that detailed, um right I came from town same as you, and I've been out here since about dawn, maybe a bit earlier I dono kinda have a hard time keeping track of time since we moved." [/b] He shrugged at his last comment, time was getting harder to judge without some kind of clock, as well as his days. Not sleeping got tiring mentally also his days were starting to blend together, it was getting harder to tell each new day apart. Tags~ Alice! Word count~ 570 Paragraphs~ 4

***** "Well I met her in the parking lot of the school the other day but I don't know if she would exactly consider me to a be a friend yet. We only talked briefly." Alice explained with a shrug and a small smile. Rosalie had seemed nice enough but the truth was that Alice hadn't seen the other girl since their meeting in the parking lot. She had thought that maybe they might have a class or two together but apparently they didn't. Oh well, maybe Alice would bump into Rosalie later during lunch or something and they could talk a bit more. Just cuz they didn't have classes together it didn't mean that they could never be friends or anything.
"Will you be starting school soon?" Alice asked Jasper as she tried to think of a way to keep the conversation going. So far Jasper seemed like a pretty decent guy. The fact that he was out in the woods like her was actually pretty astonishing to Alice since she had yet to find anybody in Forks who enjoyed to spend time out in nature, especially alone. Sure her friends would go on the occasional hike with her but they rarely ever went on very long ones. Normally her hikes with her friends lasted about two or two and a half hours tops. Part of her wanted to become better friends with Jasper since even though she did enjoy her solitary hikes, every once in a while it would be nice to have somebody join her out in the woods and not complain about wanting to go home or being tired.
Laughing when Jasper said he was indestructible, Alice shook her head since she knew that given the animals in the woods he was more then likely far from being completely invincible. When he started telling her where he had come from, Alice's jaw dropped as he began to explain about how when mommy and daddy's loved each other.... Shaking her head gently, Alice laughingly said: "I really don't need that much information about your past. Let's stick to what's happened to you since arriving in Forks for the time being. You can tell me more later."
Smiling as Jasper explained how he had lost track of the time since being out there, Alice nodded in understanding. She couldn't count the number of times that she had lost track of the time when she was out in the woods and had gotten back home after nightfall on more then one occasion. There had even been one time when her mother had called her father and she walked out of the forest just as her father and a group of other police officers were getting ready to go into the woods after her. Needless to say both her mother and father had teamed up for once in their scolding of Alice and if she hadn't been the one in trouble she would have found them teaming up together amusing.
"I know what you mean. I lose track of the time all the time out here." Alice said with a smile as she looked away from Jasper and let her eyes wander over the woods around them. She really did love the peace and quiet of nature and it was one of the reasons she swore that she would never leave Forks and if she did she was going to find another remote town. She liked the quaint and small feel of the town. Looking back at Jasper she asked: "What do you think of Forks so far?"

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all.
[/size][/center][/color] Jasper sat there listening to what Alice said, and tried to focus on her words more than her blood, which was becoming increasingly difficult the more time he spent with her. Instead of speaking he merely nodded as an answer to the girl going on about how his sister had just briefly met her and that they weren't exactly friends, though he figured Rosalie would still be upset with him if he fed off Alice. He shook his head a little trying to clear it of the idea of draining her blood before focusing on a blade of grass that was just behind her head and to the right, this way it still looked like he was paying attention to her.
Her question snapped his attention back to her, he wasn't expecting her to have asked him about school, and really it was something he wasn't looking forward to. "Um, what makes you think I'm going back to school?" [/b] A slight smirk played its way onto his lips before he raised an eyebrow making it seem like he was serious about not continuing his education, even though that was something he would never forsake. "My first day is Monday. Why want to see more of me around?"[/b] The playful smirk was still on his lips as he spoke, half hoping what he said was true and not just something she'd take as him teasing or giving her a hard time about a simple question, even if she had laughed at him being indestructible. Apparently he'd gone a bit to far with the whole mommy and dad bit, probably not smart, but she did seem to laugh at it so maybe he could play it off as being intentionally funny. "Oh right! Since I got here. Um let's see not much, just finding a house unpacking and making sure Rosalie has adjusted to our new life. . .[/b] He trailed off not really sure how much he wanted to give away about his family, considering he had just met Alice. A melancholic look was starting to ease it's way into his eyes and facial expression at the idea of him having uprooted his sister's life when she could have stayed and lived with their parents, who she was bound to miss at some point. Jasper had never asked her to come with him, he had actually protested it from the start but eventually gave in seeing that she was fixed in her ways and wouldn't budge an inch on them, which in the end he was glad to have some of his family with him. Checking his phone one more time Jasper realized that he'd actually been out for a full day instead of just the couple of hours he'd promised Rosalie he would be. Well, she can't exactly blame me, my concept of time is extremely screwed up still. He cocked his head to the side a little bit and shifted his weight from foot to foot before stretching out and sitting cross legged at the edge of Alice's blanket and played with one of the chains on his pants absent mindlessly. Time didn't seem to affect him anymore, nor did it seem to matter while he was here, he'd actually considered spending the rest of the day, until he noticed three messages from his twin, each one asking where he was. Great she was playing mommy and wanting him to be home at certain times or even to come home at all, well okay he knew he'd have to return home and keep an eye on her but still it was a bit irksome given the situations. Another question came from the girl's lips pulling him out of his thoughts before he could get lost in them further, "Well it's definitely not Rochester, not that I really miss it there. I suppose I like Forks so far, nice weather and some fairly cute girls from what I've seen so far."[/b] Truth was he'd spent more time dealing with idiots in the town and trying to find a place to live he hadn't really gotten to experience the town, except for the woods and the stray hiker he'd slipped up on earlier in the week. He nodded his head a bit to reconfirm what he said a bit not really thinking before starting to drum out a four beat rhythm on his knee, just four single beats nothing complex, just a simple little drumming, which brought a slight smile to his lips. "Suppose it'll get better after a while though, considering I'm still that new guy no one knows right now."[/b] Tags~ Alice! Word count~ 770 Paragraphs~ 5

***** Alice felt a faint blush creeping across her cheek as they warmed up a bit at Jasper asking her if she wanted to see him around more but not wanting to end up looking like some giggling, blushing school girl she laughed a bit then shook her head. While she knew that she wouldn't mind seeing more of Jasper around, she also knew that there was no way in hell she'd ever tell Jasper that. What kind of girl told a guy that they had just met that they wanted to see more of them. It would either make Alice look crazy or desperate and she was neither one. Instead she just smiled and said: "Don't go tooting your own horn there little boy blue. I just thought I'd offer to show you around if you needed any help learning the ropes but now that you've shown how eager you are to have me around I think I may keep that offer to myself."
With a teasing smile on her lips, Alice hoped Jasper didn't take anything she said too seriously. It was one of the things that Alice found extremely annoying about her sister's fiancee. When the two had first started dating Alice had enjoyed hanging out with Jacob and Bella since Jacob had a quick wit and would match her tit for tat with anything she threw at him. Now the man was so serious and it drove Alice insane whenever he came would visit. Alice would make smart ass remarks and he would just give her a look know as if internally he was telling her to grow up. Alice had all but given up on being friends with her future brother-in-law since he made it way too difficult now. Now at the most Alice would say hello to Jacob whenever he showed up and she'd be polite if he stayed through dinner but she didn't hang out with her sister and her fiancee anymore like she used to.
Listening to Jasper as he spoke, Alice couldn't stop herself from smiling as he commented on helping his sister adjust. Most guys she knew would have been worried about adjusting to a new town themselves and wouldn't have been all that worried about whether or not their sister was adjusting. The fact that he was worried about Rosalie and how she was getting used to her new life made Alice want to give him a hug. He was definitely the kind of guy she should be dating and not assholes like her ex who only dated her for her looks and popularity. Jasper was a genuinely caring person and he really wasn't all that bad looking even though he wasn't the kind of guy she normally dated. Alice had to admit she was a bit shallow when it came to picking out boyfriends as well and she told herself that she wasn't going to let herself be swayed by a guys looks anymore. For all she knew her Mr. Right was somebody who looked more like Jasper and less like her ex boyfriend who was the school's star quarterback.
"No we definitely aren't Rochester." Alice said with a smile as she forced herself to ignore the cute girls comments that Jasper had made. For some reason the comment had sent a pang of jealousy through her that she couldn't explain nor was she going to try to. She knew that a lot of the girls she hung out with were attractive and she couldn't blame Jasper for looking, especially when some of her friends were more then happy to flaunt what they had for the guys. For all she knew Jasper had seen a few of them around town in outfits that showed more skin then should be shown during this cooling weather.
"Well if you need help with that whole new guy aura I'll be more then happy to show you around." Alice said with a smile, completely forgetting that only a few moments earlier she had said she was going to keep the offer to herself. The truth was she was finding herself more and more interested in getting to know Jasper. He was nothing like the kind of guys she normally hung out with and she found it to be a refreshing change of pace. He seemed to be one of those rare, genuinely sweet guys that girls heard about but rarely ever met. The truth was that until she had met Jasper, Alice honestly didn't think a guy like him existed. None of the guys she knew would have cared if their sister had settled down in a new town. None of them would have been the one getting everything in order as far as moving and making sure they had a place. They were all too focused on themselves and would have been the first one at the school registering so that they could quickly make their way up the ranks. Jasper on the other hand seemed like he wanted to have everything perfect for both himself and his sister before he began at Forks High and Alice really admired that.

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all?
[/size][/center][/color]
Jasper couldn't help but smirk knowing he was being a bit full of himself, but that was just part of his charm. He shook his head a bit before giving a light laugh, "Aw damn! And here I thought I'd acquired my own personal tour guide." [/b] He was a bit cocky but not to an arrogant level or even obnoxiously cocky it was more he had an air of self confidence that made him seem like he thought he was better than most others. Nothing snobbish about it all seeing how he didn't consider himself better than anyone else, well maybe just a little bit now since he'd changed but not as a person goes. It was a trait he'd carried over from being humane though it seemed as if people were drawn into him, like he had a natural charisma about him that just brought people in. She hadn't really stopped smiling since he'd interrupted her bit of alone time; not that he was complaining. Jasper had to admit; Alice definitely had a cute smile and was one of the prettier girls he'd seen in town. The smile was a good thing, it showed she wasn't overly serious about anything and she seemed to still be enjoying his company, which was a kind of double edged sword for him. He was enjoying her company, surprisingly, but also every minute he stayed here he was more likely to relieve her of the warm blood in her body. His thirst was growing by the minute and she was starting to smell better and better with each second ticking away. A sigh escaped his lips, as the drumming increased in pace to match her heartbeat, still keeping the four count rhythm though, a light smile playing on his lips. "Can you hear it? Can you hear the drumming?" [/b] It was a quote, from a T.V show he'd recently started watching, though he thought it would lighten the mood just a bit. He wondered what thought's were going through her head as she watched him speak, but got side tracked with his own thoughts of his own adjustment. Not just to Forks, but to the life of being a vampire and everything. Considering the fact he bailed before learning all there was about it he seemed to be fairing pretty well for himself. The thirst was easier to control than before, well except for right now, he managed to appear humane when it came to his speed and strength. For someone who could be technically considered a newborn still Jasper had learned to control himself fairly well, though he felt like it could be contributed to having spent a month with Maria after having been changed. The only thing Jasper thought was irritating about this whole Vampire thing and he couldn't really get use to was sparkling in the sun; to him it was an extremely irritating and nonsensical concept. In reality he shouldn't exist now and even if he was supposed to exist he was fairly sure that he wasn't supposed to sparkle when in direct sunlight. A pang of jealousy ran though Jasper real quick, but it wasn’t his own or at least he didn't think it was. For him to feel jealous of anything or anyone would be weird right now, there was no reason for it. He barely knew this girl, had just met her and to top it off she hadn't said anything that would even come close to remotely making him jealous. He bit his bottom lip lightly considering that maybe the pang had come from the girl in front of him, but how could he have felt her emotions? It was a crazy idea but the more he seemed to think on it in the passing seconds it seemed to fit, which in turn caused the smirk he was wearing before to return to his lips. She's jealous of the cute girls I've seen? Wonder how she'd react if she knew she was the only other girl besides the real-estate agent and ladies in the office at school? A small laugh escaped his lips at the idea of her actually being slightly jealous of the possibility of him noticing any other girl in town. Really that was not something Jasper had looked for, considering he saw most of them as a temptation, something like a delicacy just waiting to be enjoyed. Even if that was a fairly disturbed view of the population it didn't just apply to females and Jasper was actually kind of dreading his return to school. " I kind of don't want to go back to school. It's going to be pretty hellish now. Though Rochester wasn't exactly a breeze either." [/b] His smirk had vanished now and was replaced with a bit of a scowl, something he'd found himself doing quite a bit since having been changed. His thirst was getting harder to control and Jasper knew that despite the good time he was having he'd have to end his little encounter with Alice pretty soon if he wanted to keep her alive, which at this point he would been disappointed in himself if he feed off. Well that was rare, he'd actually be disappointed in himself, a smile crept onto his face due to the amusement of the notion. Just then she offered to show him around and help him learn the ropes, even though Forks would probably be nothing compared to Rochester Jazz decided it would be good to have someone he knew, even if they smelt delicious. "Thought I didn't get a tour guide? But you seem sincere soo I guess I could use some help finding my way around school and what not on Monday." A light chuckle escaped his lips, not something that happened often, before a sigh took the chance and escaped as well. He knew their time was getting ready to end. Jazz would have to either make up an excuse to leave or he could leave her wondering about him, an idea that kind of excited him a bit having the girl curious over someone she'd just met. "Alice, I know we just met but could you do something for me? If you could, would you please close your eyes for ten seconds?"[/b] He mustered the sweetest voice possibly while still letting his New York accent play a little bit on his words. Tags~ Alice! ***** When Jasper began to laugh for no reason, Alice looked at him with a slightly confused expression. Eyebrow raising slightly, Alice wondered why the male had began to laugh but didn't give it too much thought. Instead she just smiled and when he accepted her offer to be his tour guide she smile. So he was going to call her on her offer and say that she had said she wasn't going to show him around. With a shrug she just laughed slightly and said: "A girl is entitled to change her mind."
Somewhat confused by Jasper's request, Alice stared at him for a few seconds before slowly nodding her head and closing her eyes. She had no clue why he would want her to close her eyes and while part of her was telling herself she was being stupid for closing her eyes for somebody she didn't know, another part of her was excited about what Jasper could possibly be planning to do while her eyes were closed. As she counted out the ten seconds in her head, Alice had tons of thoughts going through her mind on what the male sitting close to her might be playing and the thoughts were causing her heart to race.
Despite knowing it was inappropriate, a small part of Alice was wondering and hoping that Jasper might be planning to kiss her. She knew that if he did she would have to feign shock and surprise, maybe even a bit of indignation at him assuming it would be ok to kiss her. Of course Alice knew that she didn't have any problems with him kissing her and as she neared the number ten in her head, Alice felt her nervousness and heart race increasing.

I haven't changed at all I swear, I just died is all.
[/size][/center][/color] A bit of surprise came over Jasper as he watched Alice actually close her eyes and start to count to ten. He was at least expecting her to put up a little bit of a fight or just straight out disagree and demand for a reason as to why she should do it. A light smirk played on his lips as he started to take a silent step backward, not wanting to alert the girl and have her open her eyes as he was trying to sneak off but then an idea came to him. Wonder how she'd react? Open her eyes and slap me or just yell at me? Hmm let's test it! The thought had come quickly and just as quick as it had come Jazz took a step forward again and leaned in brushing his lips softly over the hallow under Alice's ear and whispered lightly, "I'm terribly sorry about this." [/b] before placing a light kiss in the same spot and moving back to the edge of the blanket and standing up hoping Alice wouldn't open her eyes. Jasper turned on the spot and made a straight line for the woods hiding in the deeper shadows of the woods, but close enough for him to still watch Alice. He wasn't sure why he'd stayed in the shadows to watch her. Maybe he was secretly hoping that she wouldn't freak out over the light kiss or maybe he was just waiting for it so he'd know how to act around her the next time he saw her. Whatever the reason Jasper made sure he was out of her line of vision and that his attention was focused on the girl, now alone in the meadow like how she probably intended on spending the after noon. Jazz couldn't help but smile to himself some knowing their next encounter would be interesting and that he was about to quench the thirst that had been building up due to Alice's presence. ***** Jumping slightly as she felt Jasper's lips brush lightly over her skin near her ear, Alice held her breath as he whispered to her. Lightly biting down on her lower lip, Alice wondered what he was apologizing for as he pressed his lips against her skin a bit more firmly. Not sure of what to do or say, Alice stayed still for a few seconds before she seemed to find her voice again and found herself softly saying Jasper's name.
"Jasper." Alice said softly. When she didn't get a response Alice opened her eyes and looked around only to find that she was alone. Quickly getting to her feet, Alice looked around and wondered just where Jasper had disappeared to. He couldn't have reached the trees already could he have? She was nearly smack dab in the center of the meadow and it would should have taken him longer to reach the tree line then the few seconds her eyes had been closed after she'd felt his lips brushing against her skin. Spinning in a slow circle, Alice began to wonder if she was going crazy. Had she had her eyes closed longer then she thought? Had she just imagined the whole thing and she'd been alone in the woods the whole time.
"What's going on?" Alice muttered as she looked around and wondered what she should do or say. Not sure of how Jasper had disappeared so quickly, Alice decided that she'd back home and just packed up her blanket in her backpack before she had the pack over her arms. Heading back the way she came, Alice wondered what exactly had just happened. Deciding it would be best not to say anything to anybody, Alice wondered if she would really meet Jasper at school the following Monday.
