* KELSEY JENNIFER CULLEN !

full name: kelsey jennifer cullen
nicknames: kels, princess
age: physically twenty-one / posing eighteen / actually thirty-eight
hometown: baton rouge, louisiana
species: vampire
ability's: temporary strong persuasion - she must be looking someone in the eye to do so, and her pupils will expand and contract during the process. works best on humans.
hair: dirty-blonde
eyes: golden-butterscotch, black when thirsty
general appearance: like all vampires, kelsey is extraordinarily beautiful. she has the familiar pale white skin that sparkles like diamonds are embedded in it the sunlight, and butterscotch eyes as long as her thirst is tame. her features are as perfect as possible with high cheekbones, thick feather duster eye-lashes, and full pink lips. none of this is a surprise. the only perfect flaw is when she is thirsty her eyes turn to a deathly shade of onyx with purple bruises appearing beneath them.
straying from the mandatory vampire features, kels has long dirty-blonde hair. bangs stagger across her forehead that frame her face almost naturally. she is moderately tall and rather thin, perhaps from lack of proper nutrition when she was a child. because of this she had an almost weak, fragile look to her. this shouldn't be believed. the usual grin on her face is large and perfect, as she isn't hard to predict style wise. it's whatever she wants to wear, she'll wear it no matter what. her sense however is great - even if she doesn't always follow it.

personality: there are two main things that come to mind when you would generally think of kelsey - socialite and headstrong. while there are many other things that can be said about her, these are both very true. even as a vampire she is quite the social creature, not afraid to interact with humans. they don't even annoy her! the presence of people is just something that she craves, loneliness being something that she fears. she's quite the trustworthy person despite seeming to know everyone, because she knows more than well how important it is to keep a secret as a vampire.
and of course, being as stubborn as an angry bull is something that kels has learned is important in life. if you aren't able to stand up for what you believe in or want - you'll never get it. sometimes life is as simple as that in her world. which is why she never gives up unless absolutely necessary. of course her power being persuasion does help this get want she wants (hence the nick-name princess in her family.)
but these aren't her only qualities, kels is far from two-dimensional. she has quite the temper on her if you mess with her or her family, and doesn't give up easy perhaps from being so headstrong or maybe it's her undeniable passion for what she does in he life. she can be quite the sweetheart if you're on her good side and her bad side just isn't somewhere you want to be. because she'll admit this to your face if necessary, she will be a bitch to you if she doesn't like you and that's a simple fact of life.
mother: deceased, no mother figure

history: growing up in the famous baton rouge, louisiana wasn't a boring life at the time. the amazing city nights, the parades... it was all quite a gorgeous life. even if kelsey jennifer prentess at the time didn't live in the richest part of town... or for that matter classified among some of the richer people in the city. because frankly - her family wasn't. her mother died when she was two and her father was an abusive alcoholic to her and her brothers - one older and one younger. the eldest always tried to protect them both, but you could only handle so much pain before passing out.
so her up-bringing wasn't the best. when she was fifteen, kelsey and her brothers moved out with the oldest brother. their new life started their even though they were still classified as a poor family. schooling was expensive and her own job and her older brother's were not among the highest paying. it was hard to grow up with no real maternal or paternal figures and no money to go along with it. needless to say it was not an ideal childhood for any person, and no matter how amazing the city was in the eighties it wasn't a great upbringing.
of course, being changed into a creature of the night wasn't her most amazing experience ever. then again when was three days of purely agonizing pain? after a late night kels was walking home when she was attacked. it wasn't what she expected - rape or being killed was much more common so to say. but the teeth sank into her neck only to be torn away, leaving her by herself to endure the torture. when she woke up she was absolutely alone in unfamiliar woods, in the middle of wyoming. how she got there she had no idea. but there was no one around, leading her to attack on two mountain lions. it terrified her and didn't take her long to figure out what happened.
of course, it did take her long to get over the idea that she actually was a monster and that kelsey wouldn't see her friends or family anymore. perhaps the lucky part of it was finding the cullens. how she managed to have karma in her favor so much was past her - but she wasn't going to complain. it hadn't been hard to adopt to the vegetarian life style seeing as she had done it from lack of human civilization. but she has been living with them for a while and always been very gracious and courteous of their continuing place for her in their family.

role play sample:
it was so exciting, being in forks! medeia had been sheltered all of her life and hadn't seen the world, but this was such a drastic change and she loved it. there were so many vampires, some that she had never even heard of, and their diets varied as well. there was even another hybrid like her! it was so rare to find them it seemed. if it weren't for nahuel she would have guessed that it was just her and her brother and sister. but there were even some type of shifters it appeared. it was so intriguing. she didn't understand why her father was so intent on keeping her up in south america. it was oh so boring in comparison! this was too exciting to want to get away from. she felt like she had so much to learn and so much to see still, like she had been hidden and deprived from all of the supernatural world. she didn't see why though - nothing seemed wrong about it! it was too amazing for her to fully understand. but all of the time she felt like she had been locked away from it didn't let her compensate enough. which was why she had to do as much as she could and indulge it in as much as she could before returning home. she knew she had to eventually.
but seeing the whole city and hopefully more was something that eia was most certainly going to do! unlike vampires however, this hybrid did in fact need sleep and food (as well as blood) in her system to keep her going. unlike her siblings she preferred human food over blood - after all the thought of killing a human was not one that she liked! so as soon as she had woken up in the motel room that she was staying at, she had changed into what apparently was more modern clothes. the short skirt sat on her hips and was a bright shade of orange, ruffling down to about mid-thigh. it was cute she mused, but nothing she would ever wear just at home. she had also managed to get a hold of a black tank top, tucked in smoothly, and a white jacket to pull off the human. as she glanced in the mirror, pulling on a pair on ankle length black boots, she supposed she looked very human. while her skin was still a creamy pale shade that looked almost sickly, it was normal seeing the humans living in the area. so she didn't think she had anything to worry about. being half-human she thought that she was very good at portraying the role of a every day human. even the teenage aspect wasn't all too difficult to pull off. especially knowing that more than often they went out in public. even if it was perhaps obvious she didn't live her because the town was so small you would know everyone, she believed that she could blend in. even if it was just as simple as going to a local coffee shop.
lithely medeia entered the coffee shop, a bounce in her step despite she hadn't had anything to drink or eat all day. she was just naturally preppy and optimistic, there wasn't a lot that could stop her from being that. biting down on her bottom lip to hold back a giggle from the glances that she received, she tuck back a loose strand of hair breathing in. there were the distinct smells of coffee being brewed as well as an assortment of pastries, scents which both relaxed her. then there was also the scent of various humans and their sweet blood, but there was also a vampire. it was too strong to have been there previously, they had to be there now. pressing her lips in a thin line, her pale eyes glanced around the small shop. it wasn't hard to identify who here was a vampire and who here was a human. focusing her eyes on the yellow-eyed vampire she put a large, near perfect grin onto her coral lips. "is this seat taken?" eia inquired, tilting her head slightly and quirking up an eyebrow.
