~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Lesson's that day had flown by, he himself had barely even registered the fact that the day had simply gone because his mind for the most part had been consumed by her everything about her for that matter, her hair for one, how it fell perfectly over her shoulders and dropped around her face, her eyes that held so much information, a window into her mind, a mind that he couldn't read. Dammit! why couldn't he? why was it so frustrating! it was one girl..he wanted to hit the table at that moment in irritation and anger, he wanted to find out, had to almost, yet at the same time it was dangerous, extremely dangerous but he couldn't resist the temptation to, could he really resit her when faced with her, her scent that was all to consuming and called to the animal that threatened to expose everything he had tried so hard to contain over the many years, and all of his work, all of it would be wasted if he was to loose control if only for one moment.
Currently Edward was situated at the dinner table in the hall, students qued for minutes at a time to get their lunch. Lunch that caused his insides to scream in protest, the sheer thought of food, had his nose upturned. There was a point where he would eat anything, and could eat anything, and he would eat so much that he could no longer move. His mother, had always scolded him for that. Frowning he looked to the tray of food before him and pushed it away, the sheer sight of it disgusted him almost. Picking up the apple from the tray however he studied it in the dull lighting of the lunch hall. It's skin was red, blood red, although the taste would be something foul. None the less as he turned it around in his pale slender hand, he replaced it on the tray, he had learned that the girl, the one that had been on his mind all day was Isabella, Or Bella, he had learned a fair amount in truth, that she was apparently dating some boy called Jacob Black, and that the two of them were apparently engaged. He didn't know why but that thought alone aggravated him.
Frowning in frustration once again, Edward placed the apple back on his tray and cast his gaze around the slowly filling hall, and for the most part busied himself by counting the many cracks in the paint work, once done, he then begun to count the tiles that covered the floor, glancing to his watch, he hoped Emmett would hurry up they had Spanish together and then he had biology, with Bella. A lesson he was both anticipating and reluctant to attend. However the doors swung open and scents greeted him, causing his whole body to tense, and had venom begin to pool within his mouth as well as the overwhelming need to bite into flesh. Only one person he had met today caused that reaction, yet he did not dare look around, but he knew that she was there somewhere, he hoped for both their sake that Emmett came soon, or someone else came to distract him.

***** "Brittany it's not like it's Jacob fault that he lives on a reservation with a skank." Alice said in mild annoyance as her best friend harped on her again about how she could possibly let her sister get engaged to a Quiluete guy. After all it had been a Quiluete girl that the two had caught Jason with the year before at Brittany's party but the way Alice saw it, you couldn't blame one person for the sins of another. As far as she knew Jacob didn't even know the girl that Jason had cheated on Alice with but as far as Brittany was concerned, all the Quiluete's should be hung by their toes and beaten because of what the girl had done. Alice knew that Brittany had had some wild dream about Alice marrying her cousin and the two of them officially being family but the truth was Alice hadn't seen things going that far with Jason. Hell she didn't even see them making that far past high school if they had even made it to their senior year. It wasn't that Alice didn't like Jason, she had cared a lot about the Forks High quarterback, things just didn't feel right. Something inside of her even back then had said that Jason was her Mr. Right Now and not her Mr. Right.
As the two pushed the door to the cafeteria open, Alice felt a bump from behind and spun around to confront who had bumped into her. Seeing a flash of brown as it passed her towards the floor, Alice automatically reached out to steady who she knew that brown head belonged to. Shaking her head and laughing at her sister who had apparently nearly tripped over her own two feet, Alice smiled at her sister who then headed off with her friends while Alice turned her attention back to Brittany. Suddenly Brittany was off the topic of Alice's future brother-in-law and on to Alice's sister. Commenting on how she had no clue how Bella had gotten a boyfriend, let alone gotten engaged considering how accident prone she was, Alice shook her head and sighed.
"Look Brittany I know my younger sister isn't perfect but she's never hurt anybody but herself in her accidents so just lay off her ok." Alice said in exasperation as she picked up a tray and began to make her way down the line picking out a few different things she wanted to eat. With her tray filled with food, Alice paid at the register then looked around the cafeteria. All the places were filled except for one at the table that she and Brittany normally sat at with their friends. As the two girls looked at each other then looked at their table again, Alice wondered who should take the seat. Considering it was next to Jason, Alice didn't want the seat and when she spotted empty seats around Edward Cullen she made her decision. Motioning for Brittany to take the seat next to her cousin, Alice made her way towards Edward's table.
Coming to a stop across from him, Alice looked down at him with a friendly smile and asked: "Mind if I join you?"

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ He had barely registered what was going on, until he heard a scatter behind him, and a shuffle of feet, turning slightly in his seat he spotted the problem, the girl...Bella had tripped yet the shorter one Alice had steadied her, a table just pat the couple laughed and pointed, a sudden wave of irritation passed over him, and he resisted the urge to go over, they were laughing at Bella? She couldn't help the fact that clearly she could not walk over a flat surface without falling over. Turning his attention back to the tray before him, he took a moment to calm himself, why did she affect him so much? He barely even knew the girl. Moments later a sudden wave of scent surrounded him, it was a spice scent cinnamon perhaps? with a faint tinge of ginger. Lifting his gaze from his food tray he spotted the source, it was the shorter girl, Alice. She had approached his table and had asked to sit with him, he opened his mouth to say he was just leaving, but the smile he recived..He tried hard to contain his own. Instead he nodded and gestured to the empty seats. "Not at all..Please have a seat." he commented his tone was low, and smooth almost with a velvet silk coating to his many words.
The girl before him was certainly not the shy type in truth he was surprised that she had even approached his table in the first place usually even when everywhere was full, and his table was not, many would find somewhere else, he supposed that was due to Emmett's presence, he certainly would seem the intimidating type, so he could hardly blame the looks they received, namely of fear. Some even as possible jealousy, when other two girls often joined them, although they rarely attended school, the pair of them would often make themselves known, one way or another. Perhaps the most quietest one of the two was Kaylweigh, although on the odd occasion she could get aggressive. If there was one thing that Edward had learned it as not to get on the wrong side of them, even though Emmett pushed his boundaries, Edward would simply laugh at the bickering that occurred most times, even Carlisle often had to step in.
As the girl joined his table he stayed silent for the most part, his arms rested on the table before him, his pale hand almost illuminated by the dull clouds and day in general, He cast his gaze away to the side, he would perhaps stay a moment longer before he would leave and allow them to have the table to themselves, instead he turned his attention back to the pixie like girl. "I was just about to leave, once my brother arrives." he commented, although he would not eat he could state that he wished to eat elsewhere? Either way he hoped that his brother would hurry up and soon, so that the two of them could go hunting perhaps? Surely that was better than enduring, a pointless hour of two of lessons that he had already completed several times. He barely bothered to take notes, yet when he was asked a questioned he often answered correctly in fact so far he had always answered correctly. Looking to the glass of water before him, he circled a pale long finger around the rim of the cup idly and all the while remained silent.

***** Alice smiled as she reached for the chair in front of Edward and was about to pull it out when she was suddenly pushed aside by a larger male. One look at him told her that it was Edward's brother and she made a slight face as he took the seat that she had been about to sit in. Letting out a small annoyed huff, Alice glanced around and saw that more then a few people were watching her, especially those at her table since nobody ever sat with the Cullen boys. Determined not to be scared away by Emmett, Alice looked down at Edward before she heard Emmett addressing her and a small smirk formed on her lips.
"And for a few days out of every month I turn into Empusa but if he promises not to barbecue me then I promise I won't ever feast on his blood as he sleeps." Alice said as she set her tray down and took a seat in the chair next to Emmett. She wasn't sure just how familiar the two boys were with Greek mythology and given the fact that Empusa was one of the lesser known figures she doubted if they would have any clue what she was talking about. Course Empuse usually seduced men into her bed which was how she was able to feed from them as they slept but still, hopefully her point had gotten across to the largest of the two brothers. She wasn't easily frightened and being who she was, she was determined to see the two of them become more social.
"So what do you say? I promise I won't hurt you and you promise you won't hurt me?" Alice asked as she turned to look at Edward with a smile as she popped open her soda can and took a sip of the cool liquid from inside. She could still feel the eyes of people on her but she kept her back to everybody as she looked at Edward before glancing towards Emmett for a few seconds. They really did seem like decent guys even if it was obvious that Emmett was trying to scare her away, although why he was trying to scare her away she had no idea. Looking back at Edward, Alice picked up one of the fries off her plate and began to nibble on it lightly. She hoped he wouldn't insist on leaving like he had said he was going to do when his brother got there. It would be humiliating beyond belief if the two Cullen's walked off after she sat down especially since she could feel her friends eyes on her and knew that all of them, including Jason were waiting to see what happened.
"Please don't leave. Please don't leave. I don't want to look like an idiot." Alice thought as she took another sip of her drink while watching both brothers and praying they would somehow hear her silent prayer and stay where they were.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ H
Just then, Where Alice was about to sit, Emmett suddenly pushed his way in front and claimed the seat, he shot Emmett a cold look, he had barged the girl out of the way, did he not have any manors? "Alice was about to sit there Emmett, I think you should apologize to her." Edward stated and glanced to Alice briefly before back to Emmett urging him to apologize although he doubted very much that was going to happen, for a moment later Emmett continued to talk about their next class. As he shot his brother a warning look, Edward glanced past him and then up to Alice. "I apologize for my brothers behavior, he has a tendency to do that, after all these year you would of think he would of learned something by now." He commented it was perhaps his first real conversation with a human, and with someone else out side of his family, that alone was proving most infiltrating speaking to the same people day in day out, perhaps the only real decent intellectual conversation he ever had was with Carlisle, the others, well you may as well be talking to a wall.
What is her name? Ms LaRose? Was the last of the conversation he was really hearing from Emmett, Shaking his head Edward shot his brother an expedited look. "That was last year, she taught us French? We have Senorita López." Edward stated the use of the Spanish accent flowed past his lips with little effort, Emmett although he had attended school often never seemed to take much in, which was usually why Edward ended up with the higher grade, Emmett would simply often amuse himself by staring at the odd exposed leg, or in this case the teacher, and the images that he thought of, Edward could of sworn that Emmett did that on purpose simply to annoy him. Of Course When Emmett sat down, he showed little in the way of wishing to move anytime soon. Not that it really bothered him, but being around humans, was not really helping him, especially when the girl Alice, reeked of the other human Bella, the one that since this morning had been constantly on his mind.
Then if things were not bad enough Emmett turned and then begun speaking to Alice, words that had Edward all too tempted to punch his brother. Trust me miss, you don't want to get to know my brother here. He breaths fire from his mouth. He shot Emmett a glance that said shut up, no words were exchanged just a simple look. However instead of the girl moving away she simply continued to play along with whatever Emmett was to throw at her, he certainly admired her courage, and flare not to mention that comment alone would probably shock Emmett, although he was use to Edward answering back, he was not usually used to the females doing so. Watching the scene unfold, Edward could not help but let a slow smile creep across his features tilting the corner of his lips in a crooked smile.
And for a few days out of every month I turn into Empusa but if he promises not to barbecue me then I promise I won't ever feast on his blood as he sleeps. Ironically however Edward shook his had slowly, the smile still present. "I can assure you I probably wouldn't taste all that great.." He commented it was odd how he felt so at ease with the girl, it was as if he could tell her everything and anything. Of course he resisted but the fact of it was, the girl seemed trustworthy. "By all means do drain my brother of his contents, it would do us all a favor..Empuse, she is the one closely linked to the succubus, within Greek Mythology, correct?" Edward quizzed again the situation it's self was ironic enough. This simply added to it all "I prefer to be linked to Adonis, rather then that of a fire breathing creature." He commented flashing his brother an amused smirk almost.
So what do you say? I promise I won't hurt you and you promise you won't hurt me? The girl, Alice continued, Edward smiled a genuine smile and nodded. "It seems like a fair promise." Edward added before he returned to silence once again even though he could practically feel his brothers irritation, out smarted by a girl of all people. However his attention flickered back to Alice as her thoughts rang loud and clear within his mind. Without thinking, he spoke, not even realizing the possible consequences. "We shall stay for a moment longer until you finish your lunch if you wish?" Edward asked, his tone of voice was all to formal, if not slightly old fashioned but that was something he couldn't help. He supposed, it was almost funny how, he was older than Emmett yet, not. At least he was older when it came to actual age as well as mental age, both of which Emmett lacked in the forms of.

I'M IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'M SORRY HONEY BUT I'M PASSING UP(now look this way)
Bella didn't mind Alice leaving her to be with he friends, she had been waiting to talk to Jessica and Angela anyways. So the very first chance she got -and she was sure she wouldn't fall and get laughed at again- she maneuvered carefully though the cafeteria and made her way to her usual table.
She looked over her shoulder to catch a glimpse at his table and sure enough there he was, though he wasn't alone...he was sitting with his brother and...Alice? He was sitting with Alice? And talking to her...part of her wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, part of her was jealous that he'd talk to Alice but wouldn't give her the time of day. What was wrong with her that he couldn't bring himself to say one word to her all day? Even during class, in biology...they were lab partners, she sat less than two feet from him and he was always anxious, in a rush to leave...he never wanting to speak to her but he would talk to her sister without a single problem.
She couldn't help but feel a little hurt by that fact and so, she smiled a bit at her friends, mumbling that she was going to go find her sister and left, taking only her apple and juice with her. She wasn't hungry and even if she was, after seeing Alice chatting Edward up, she'd lost her appetite.
She sucked in a deep breath, biting nervously on her lip. She walked for just a few seconds, her feet shuffling slightly. She couldn't trip if she didn't pick up her feet, it'd be nearly impossible for her feet to get caught on something...but of course, she was Bella. If she didn't trip over something in her path, she'd stumble over her own feet and she did, nearly falling but had caught herself by leaning on a nearby table. This earned her quite a few laughs, most from the popular kids -Alice's friends- and she rolled her eyes, biting her lip.
It took about a minute to get to Edward's table, she'd been hesitating slightly but once she was there, she offered a small smile "I- can I...Can I sit?" she asked in a small voice, wondering if he'd look at her as she spoke...she realized after a brief moment that she didn't need his permission to have a seat. It was a school cafeteria, he didn't own the table so, she took a seat next to Alice and glanced across the table at Edward before looking down at her bottle of orange juice, twisting the top off and took a small sip. She wasn't wearing her ring today. She'd decided to leave it at home, on her nightstand...she was growing tired and annoyed by curious eyes and the constant questions, people asking 'are you getting married? Are you pregnant?'...it was these reasons Bella had originally said no to marrying Jacob but he was persistent, asking two more times and she hesitantly said yes but with one condition. They keep it a secret from people who didn't need to know.
Her eyes once more trailed up to look at Edward, this time her gaze was fixed, staring intensely at him "Are you planning to talk to me this time or are you still not finished ignoring me?" she questioned, knowing it wasn't nice to sound so rude but then...ignoring someone wasn't very nice either. She bit her lip after she'd spoken, lifting the apple to her mouth and took a bite to silence herself. She had said more than enough, now it was up to him on weather or not he would react.

***** Alice smiled and gave a small shrug as Edward apologized for his brother's behavior. She really wasn't all that offended by the other Cullen's attitude and it wasn't like he had actively been seeking to be rude to her or anything. It really wasn't all that uncommon for her to be overlooked by some of the bigger guys since they just tended to be focused on whatever they were doing and not on what was going on around them. Alice couldn't count the number of times the football players had bumped into her or knocked her over because they were rough housing with each other and hadn't been paying attention to her or anybody else around them.
When Edward responded to her comment and compared himself to another Greek mythological being, Alice's jaw dropped slightly. After a few seconds her jaw raised and a smile touched her lips as she realized she may have found somebody else she could talk to about Greek mythology who actually knew about it. Her own friend found her fascination with mythology silly and at the most knew about Aphrodite, Zeus and some of the bigger names. None of them would have understood her comment and she laughed slightly at who Emmett felt his brother more closely resembled. Shaking her head gently from side to side, it was obvious that the brother's were fairly close if they could tease each other like this.
Somewhat surprised when Edward seemed to answer her silent plea, Alice was about to ask him to repeat himself when she heard the sound of a familiar voice behind her. Slowly Alice turned slightly to see her sister and smiled up at her. Her sister sounded nervous but she wasn't exactly sure why and as Bella took a seat next to her, Alice turned her attention to the guys. She was about to introduce her sister to them in case they didn't know her but before she could say anything, Bella was accusing Edward of ignoring her. Eyes widening, Alice quickly turned to look at her younger sister in surprise as Emmett made his comment about the grown ups talking for a bit first. She couldn't help thinking how accurate Emmett's comment was given how childishly her sister was acting considering nobody had done or said anything to her that would even remotely deserve her rude behavior.
"You'll have to excuse my sister. Apparently your brother isn't the only one who needs to learn a thing or two about manners." Alice said as she looked at Edward with an apologetic smile. Alice had never known Bella to be so rude for no reason and as far as she was concerned her sister had just sat down and attacked Edward with no provocation whatsoever on his part. A part of Alice wanted to turn and scold her sister and tell her to apologize to Edward but she wasn't her sister's keeper. If her sister wanted to be rude and wanted to push people away that was on her. Alice wouldn't say anything unless it began affect her in some way.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ When did you take such an interest in the humans? Be careful brother.
Came the silent warning from his brother that echoed inside his mind. Frowning briefly he glanced to his brother and nodded, he was being careful he was only socializing. Glancing to Emmett again he thought for a long hard moment and replied his reply just as silent as the warning, it was a perk he enjoyed, "I am being careful, you were the one who wanted me to talk more so here I am. I am conversing with people." he retorted, all the while his gaze flickered around the room he and Emmett had been getting better at having silent conversation. However after he had spoke to Alice about the topic at had it was typical of Emmett to pipe up then with one of his 'try-to-hard' banters to make people laugh, mostly it was pointless ramblings. That he chose to ignore at the best of times. Living with my brother here I can vouch for him and say he is definitely Eris. Emmett had said, Edward shot him a look. "One, I am not female. Two. I am not disorderly, nor am I out of any form of Harmony. You, On the other hand, there is no god or goddess that even come close describing one of such ill manners and rude behavior." Edward replied his tone stern and his voice flat holding a hint of annoyance, although it was soon replaced with a genuine crooked smile. It was impossible to stay mad at Emmett for any length of time. He had even tried. I have already eaten so I am prepared to leave any time you are Edward. Emmett commented although with the thoughts of Alice in mind, Edward shook his head and suggested that they were to stay longer. Just then a sudden familiar scent filled his dad lungs, his eyes narrowed, and his posture instantly went rigid. It was her, her scent. His hands slid under the table and gripped the underside. He had hunted only a day ago, yet his throat burned and venom pooled, no one had affected him this much in all of his existence. Letting out a low sigh, he slowly with force willed his fingers to lessen the grip of the table and to relax. Slowly but surely he eventually forced himself to relax with the help of holding his breath of course. I- can I...Can I sit? Before Edward could say anything, about them leaving the girl, Bella continued, his eyes flickered to look at her, the tension in the air rose several notches yet for now he refused to acknowledge it. Are you planning to talk to me this time or are you still not finished ignoring me? Bella questioned, and he knew without a doubt that the question was aimed at him, for a brief moment he resisted the urge to grimace, yes, he had been harsh, rude and darn right arrogant but it was all for a good reason was it not? but maybe, just maybe the two could become friends..It was a high risk, with every at stake, but it was a risk that he was willing to take, there was simply so much about Bella that intrigued him, things that he simply had to know, had to understand. Before he could speak, Emmett cut in a moment later his tone mocking and his expression childish. We might need a minute or two longer for the grownups to talk. You mind if we refuse to acknowledge your presence for a little while longer? Edward's eyes instantly flickered back to Emmett, and once again he shot his brother a warning look, there was no reason to talk to Bella like that, she had every right to question him. "Emmett, enough." He told his brother, he honestly wasn't at all happy with the way Emmett spoke to the opposite sex, back in his time, when he was human, a tone like that was frowned upon, and often resulted in some form of punishment. Then the next moment Alice, Bella's sister spoke, her tone harsh and with obvious traces of disapproval. That matched his own. You'll have to excuse my sister. Apparently your brother isn't the only one who needs to learn a thing or two about manners. Alice spoke, Edward shook his head slowly. "No, it's fine. I deserved that.." he admitted before he looked back to Bella across the table, she sat almost directly opposite. "I realize it was rude of me to ignore you, and for that I apologize..I had a lot on my mind that day. I hope you can forgive my ill manners. I am Edward Cullen, and this is Emmett, My brother." he admitted, as he gestured to the bear shaped being that sat beside him, it was partly the truth. His hands clasped before him on the table, wrapped around the blood red apple. He gazed across the table to Bella and looked up to her with golden liquid topaz eyes, from beneath his long eye lashes, and hoped that she would accept his apology.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~( words enough ) ( tags open) ( outfit goes here ) ( lyrics "zombie" by the cranberries ) ( credit this template was made by zee (a.k.a. I'M IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'M SORRY HONEY BUT I'M PASSING UP(now look this way) Bella sent a glare to the guy who spoke, Edward introduced him as his brother Emmett and she sighed "Grownups? You know the only people who say grownups are children, the word is adults and yes. I do mind." she spoke, her voice peeved and slightly angry. She would have said something elese but Alice cut her off. Her mouth opened but her sister had spoken for her. Almost apologizing for her.
"Alice, you dont have to apologize for me. I- I knowI was being rude." she muttered, glancing at Edward before she bit into her apple yet again, taking her time in order to avoid any further conversation. Her sister already thought she was being rude out of spite and Edward's brother had already proved to be a bit of an ass. She didnt want to stir anymore trouble.
Sipping her juice once more, she listened as Edward spoke, though tried to make it look as though she wasnt interested in a thing he said, she hung on to his every word, listened to him intently. His voice was so soft, so delicate and velvet. She was captivated by his voice and everything else about him. She looked across the table, studying his face. Her eyes tracing every inch of him, from the small twitch of his lip, the blinking of his eyes...the golden eyes that stared back at her shocked her. She had never seen his eyes so bright before. She could recall them being black or maybe a very dark brown but never so bright and golden.
Finally she looked at his pale, ghostly white hands as he held the apple and couldn't help but be a little curious. She only nodded her head as he apologized, biting the inside of her cheek. She couldn't possibly stay mad at him, not when he apologized the way he had, she sucked in her bottom lip a bit before responding in a very low, sheepish voice "I forgive you..." she looked away after that, taking a deep breath and then released it quickly, trying to steady her fast beating heart.

***** Alice looked over at her sister as Edward said that he deserved what she had said to him then looked over at Edward as Bella said she knew she was being rude. "Well if you know you're being rude then why are you doing it? Mom raised us better then that." Alice thought as she looked at her sister before looking over at Emmett who seemed to have the same response to all three of them at the moment. A small smile played on her lips as she thought about how Emmett seemed like the kind of person who could be fun to hang out with one minute but then driving you crazy the next.
Eyes widening in surprise, Alice let Emmett pull her in as he said they were all one big happy family. After a few seconds she began to laugh lightly and tried to push away from Emmett as she teasingly held up her left hand and said: "I see no ring on this finger nor have you seen you around my dinner table growing up so we are not one big happy family."
Unable to push away from Emmett, Alice accepted the fact that she was stuck at Emmett's side and smiled as she took a drink from her soda bottle then looked back and forth between the brothers. She really didn't understand why they didn't have more friends at the school since they were fairly easy to get along with. In fact Alice was sure that they could have plenty of friends, both male and female if they would just open themselves up instead of trying to keep to themselves. She was actually enjoying herself as she sat with the two brother's chatting. Granted she wished her sister hadn't been so rude upon first arriving at the table but at least Edward hadn't taken offense to it and it seemed as if both he and Emmett were willing to move past that one little comment from Bella.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ As Edward sat there what was happening around him he payed little attention to, all of his attention at that moment was focused upon Bella alone, his eyes barely even straying, he didn't care what Emmett thought, even though he knew that he was bound to say something simply to annoy him, his finger tip continued to trail around the rim of his untouched glass of water, she fascinated him deeply, he didn't know what it was about her, that attracted him to so much but he was finding it exceptionally hard to look away at that moment. However when she replied to Emmett's comment, he couldn't help but smile softly, the corners of his lips lifting into a crooked smile, she was right of course. Grownups? You know the only people who say grownups are children, the word is adults and yes. I do mind. She was certainly a determined, if not strong willed and minded person, not man would ever think twice about standing up to someone such as Emmett, but Emmett would never hurt anyone, at least, no one that posed a threat and as far as Bella went, she posed no threat at all. However Edward did certainly admire her courage. Alice, soon spoke a moment later, yet his gaze did not waver from the girl opposite him, what was she thinking? He studied her expression with such intensity, he hoped he was not coming across as too nosy, or rude. Yet she did indeed fascinate him, so by looking at her features, he hoped they would provide some form of information as to what she could possibly be thinking. You don't have to apologize for me. I- I know I was being rude. Bella begun as she continued to explain herself, she was both bold when acting upon impulse but in general she was shy, the quite type the one that wished to simply avoided any form of attention, he too was like that, he didn't like being the center of attention he could sympathize with her. It was never a comfortable experience and many people asked you many questions, questioned you had already answered a hundred times over. He watched as she bite into her apple, it looked appealing yet the taste he would receive was anything but that, so, to appear at least slightly normal he raised his cup of water to his lips, but did not take a sip, simply faked one, when the moisture touched his lips, it was cold. Something he was not used to, it had no scent, no appeal.
When he looked back to Bella, he was met with curious eyes, eyes that held such warmth and compassion her cheeks flushed delicately causing heat to rise, he wanted nothing more then to reach out and pressed his cool fingertips to her cheek, to caress her fine jaw, to trail his thumb over her smooth moist lips. He paused, and blinked softly, he hadn't realized how much he had simply been staring at her unblinking. He looked down with a small frown, never had he felt the need to do such things with anyone, he was drawn to her, and there was nothing he could do about it. Placing down the apple he heard her comment about him being forgiven before not a moment to soon the teasing comments of Emmett entered his mind. Edwards got a girlfriend, Edwards got a girlfriend. He glanced to Emmett briefly before he frowned, clearing his throat softly he raised from his chair sliding it back a fraction, the fire burned the back of his throat the need to lunge across the table then was stirring, his eyes subtly flashed to her neck. This couldn't be happening he had hunted only moments ago. "Excuse me for a moment, I shall return shortly" Edward commented excusing himself he nodded and headed swiftly for the first thing that came into view the men's toilet.
Thrusting the door open harder then he meant to he startled another boy that as soon as he saw him fled the loo. Moving swiftly to the mirror he gazed at his reflection his eyes had become darker, but only by a fraction, venom pooled in his mouth, and his throat ached, he need blood at that moment, he needed her blood. Letting out a long harsh breath he waited for a moment as he took the time to compose himself he had told them that he would return, he presumed that Emmett was entertaining them, he would go back in a few moments. Just a few more minutes was all he needed. Closing his eyes he focused on breathing, although not literally, he forced himself to relax. He had made that fatal mistake a moment a go and had exhaled. When he had, her scent filled him like a tidal wave. How was he going to survive the rest of the day with her, knowing that they had a lesson last period. He just hoped for her sake that he could keep it under control. "Just one more minute" he thought to himself as he opened his eyes and gazed at the stranger in the mirror before him.

ooc: I realize this is something of a dead thread, but Edward/Dan encouraged me to update it again and join the action, so I thought I would.
bic:
Rowle had dreaded this moment above all others. It had been hard enough entering the High School in the first place. Now he was falling completely prey to the mouthwatering scents that hung in the air, a constant rain cloud over his head on this strange, horrible new morning. He’d literally feasted the night before, having drained the bodies of two fully grown men, and yet his throat burned and his eyes watered in the presence of so many young, innocent lives… whose blood beckoned him. Just one little sip?
Denying himself the pleasure of that got harder as the day wore on. How in the heck did those Cullens live this way? Why would one deny themselves small satisfaction in the life of being a vampire? So Rowle had moved through the day with his stomach churning and his throat swelling, venom pooling in his mouth, grazing his tongue with his fangs whenever that particularly sweet scent tickled his nose. That scent had come around too many times today. It was almost unbearable.
As a vampire who’d never, ever tried this before, his posture had been lacking in any grace and natural flow with which he’d usually walked, and so people had been wary and nervous. Besides, he knew they all saw him as inhumanly beautiful. Most vampires were. But he clearly wasn’t the only one. It soon became noticeable to Rowle that he probably had spotted these infamous Cullens– especially when someone seemed to be drawing as much attention, if not more, than he did.
When he stepped into the cafeteria, he felt nervous for the first time in exactly fifty years. He couldn’t remember his human years, but somehow his subconscious was telling him that clearly he’d been nervous on his first day of high school in those years also, whether he was the richest, most beautiful kid in school or not. The second he stepped into the buzzing room, loud with the chatter of oblivious teenagers, Rowle retreated out of the room for a breath of the freshest air he’d been able to get all day. Feeling his hands shaking insanely fast from the stress, Rowle leaned against the wall of the hallway, trying to let down his guard and relax.
“Come on, Rowle… you can do this. You’ve done it before. They’re just stupid teenagers. You can do this.”. But he shook his head at himself. He didn’t know how to do this. He didn’t know the first step to becoming a vegetarian, and this was a sure ticket to hell. But Rowle had never been a coward. Maybe he was something of a wimp, but never a flat–out coward. Not once had he thought about aborting his mission of talking with Edward Cullen for his petty insecurities. Tentatively, he snuck back into the cafeteria, trying to gain some distance from a prominent scent somewhere near the windows of the cafeteria, towards the back.
His dark eyes swept the faculty, and then he saw what was making this so excruciating for him. Some stupid brunette girl. But when he examined her further, Rowle noticed some important features of the table she sat at. Those were undoubtedly the Cullens. Honestly, the girls, the brunette and another brunette, seemed to be gazing up at the two males like they were God–given kings on earth. Rowle gulped hard, still feeling his eyes watering, as he stared uncontrollably at the back of the girl’s hair. Why, oh why was someone who had to smell so good here?
He invaded a table of friends who’d been chattering happily until he came along. Surprise and shock filtered through his new audience. The teenagers seemed to go quiet. Rowle, horrified in himself for having forgotten his usual smoothness in greeting, quickly straightened in his chair. “Sorry,” he said quickly. “Can I join you?” The girls seemed to glance up at their boyfriends. Undoubtedly, the football players looked pretty nervous; he was a sure threat to them. This made Rowle smile. Oh how grateful he was for their reaction to him. Finally he felt like he was dominated someone instead of being dominated himself.
“Yeah, sure,” said one guy. “Whatever.” And the group tentatively returned to their conversation, pointedly leaving Rowle out of it. But Rowle was not offended. On the contrary, he was grateful. He didn’t want to participate in the conversation anyway. His eyes strayed back to the Cullen table, where Rowle was angry and jealous to find that the bronze haired, most beautiful Cullen seemed to be speaking with the human females at ease. He was so at ease that it could hardly be natural. Rowle himself looked like he had just emerged from a seizure, with his body shaking as violently as it was, his forehead sweating and his shoulders stiff, nearly level with his ears. Biting his lip unhappily, he tried to concentrate in listening in on their conversation. Whenever the youngest looking brunette spoke, her very breath seemed to tease the air he breathed. It was killing him.
Rowle was desperate. This lunch period would be the most unbearable hour of his life, he was sure. He looked like a total idiot here, listening in on people’s conversations, trembling and joining tables whose conversations he cared virtually nothing of. Surely one of the Cullen guys would see he was one of them; surely he could speak with them sometime. Somehow he had to get away from her– that girl. That stupid, obnoxious teenager, probably just like all the other ones.
