Rosalie was driving to school for the first time, the only thing consoling her was the fact that school had only been in session for three days. There were bound to be other new students still adjusting to the school other than just she and Jasper, or at least that's what she told herself. Rosalie was driving alone which was not her first idea of a good plan, but Jasper had said he wanted to go hunting the day of so he wouldn't be tempted and she agreed. Rosalie didn't want to see her brother murder anyone.
Rose pulled into the parking lot and was stunned, not only was it hideously smaller than she remembered but it was almost completely empty. Rosalie had went the previous day when school had just ended to register she and Jasper and she could have sworn the woman had said school started at 8:00. She had gotten up extra early to curl her hair and get the perfect outfit to be there on time and yet here she was apparently early. Rosalie pulled out the registration papers and scanned over them, sure enough a small note said school started at 8:30.
Rosalie was not happy. She quickly texted Jasper that he had more time than they thought and she got out of the car. Rosalie stayed by her car and leaned against the door, she held her cell phone in her hand and continued to text Jasper...this was not turning out to be a good morning.

***** "I'll just see you at school Bella." Alice called out to her sister who was upstairs still getting ready. It wasn't like Alice was exactly a star student as far as grades were concerned but she liked getting to school early so she could hang out and talk with friends before class. Plus there was also the fact that the later you got to school the further away from the buildings you had to park and since the weather called for rain that day, Alice would be damned if she were one of the last people to get to school. While Alice didn't exactly mind the rain, she was not about to spend too much time in it since it would only ruin her hair and makeup which she had spent a good amount of time working on that morning.
Driving through the streets of Forks at a somewhat faster then normal speed, Alice soon found herself pulling into the school's parking lot and pulling into a space in the second row. She had learned early on that parking in the first row was asking for trouble since students liked to hang around each others cars and her own car had had countless drinks as well as other things spilled on it's hood from the guys sitting on top of it and messing around. At least in the second row her car was normally safe since at least one of her friends always parked in the first row of cars.
Pulling her coat tightly around her body, Alice pushed open her door before stepping out of her car and looking around. She spotted one girl off by herself leaning against an unfamiliar car and since Alice didn't recognize either the car or girl she figured the girl was new. Bending over back into her car, Alice reached across to the passenger seat and grabbed her backpack as well as her binder before straightening up again and placing her pack on the roof of her car. After picking up her binder, Alice slammed her door shut then tucked her keys into her backpack and slung one of the straps over her shoulder. Casting one last glance at the unfamiliar girl, Alice began to make her way through the parking lot and towards the entrance to the school.

Rosalie glanced up from the cell phone and noticed that a few more students were filing into the small parking lot. Rose glanced around and was not thrilled at what she saw. In Rochester she and Jasper had went to a private school and things were different. The school itself was beautiful, large, and top of the line. The students had been rich, beautiful and dressed in the latest designer clothes. At Forks apparently kids wore whatever was not dirty, and definitely not anything designer.
Rosalie was debating on leaving, but she knew her brother would not let her get away with it, if he was having to go through high school hell as a vampire then she most certainly would as a normal human. Rosalie watched the kids and they all seemed to know each other. They were all laughing and greeting one another and looking at her like she was some sort of science experiment. Rosalie was use to people looking at her of course, but for some reason with all these eyes upon her it was too much, too unsettling.
Rose was about to get back inside her car when something caught her eye. It was a girl that was at least a foot shorter than her with long brown hair. The thing that Rosalie noticed was what she was wearing. It was the most fashion oriented thing in the small school parking lot...other than herself. She noted the jeans were designer and worth atleast 300....maybe this school had hope after all.

***** Smiling and waving at a car that just pulled into the parking lot, Alice stepped aside and watched as one of her best friends and another member of the cheerleading team pulled into the empty spot that Alice stood beside. Waving a Brittany who was putting her car into park, Alice took another step back as the passenger door opened to reveal a six foot tall muscular young man which caused Alice's smile to falter a bit.
Jason was Brittany's cousin and captain of the school's football team. The two used to be pretty close and Brittany had been excited when her best friend and cousin started dating towards the end of their freshmen year. Jason and Alice had been the it couple of their year and had been entirely exclusive all through their sophmore year as well as part way through their junior year. It was in the middle of their junior year that Brittany had thrown a party at her house because her parents had gone out of town and halfway through the party Jason had disappeared. Brittany and Alice had found him in her parents room half naked with some girl from La Push who had come to the party with her cousin and her cousins friends. The discovery had shattered Alice who had left the party and she found out later that Brittany had not only beat the living hell out of the girl with random objects from her parents room, but she had kicked her cousin out of her house and refused to talk to him for what he'd done.
Jason tried talking to both his cousin and Alice but neither girl wanted anything to do with him. Brittany had only recently began talking to her cousin again and following her friends lead, Alice had began to talk to him as well. Of course Alice was only civil to him because of her friend and as Jason smiled at Alice then moved to give her a hug she took a step back. "Hello Jason."
Moving around the car, Alice didn't wait for a greeting from Jason or anything as her smile returned and she gave her best friend a hug. "Hey Britt guess what. I think I've solved our problem and have come up with a few moves for that part of the routine where we couldn't think of anything."
Brittany responded automatically and smiled at Alice before she glanced off to the side and Alice knew what she was doing. She had already seen a few other students do it and not surprising, Jason was doing it as well. Rolling her eyes at everybody staring at the new girl, Alice gave her friend a gentle shove and said: "Honestly Britt you'd think you'd never seen a new person before. She isn't the first new student we've had and I doubt she'll be the last. Come on, let's go introduce ourselves to her so she doesn't feel like an animal at the zoo."
When Brittany said that she had a paper she had to turn in before class, Alice just shrugged and turned around. Hearing Jason moving towards her, Alice didn't bother looking at her ex as she said: "Jason you're not using me to meet another girl. You're obviously highly capable of doing it on your own."
Noticing the footsteps had stopped, Alice smirked slightly then crossed the parking lot to where the blonde girl was standing next to her car. When she was close enough to the girl to talk to her without having to yell, Alice smiled and said: "Hey I'm Alice."

When more students began filling into the small parking lot the number of stares increased which put Rosalie in an even worse mood. The clock was ticking down and she still hadn't heard from her twin, it was unsettling but not anything to worry about. Jasper sometimes left his cell phone in the car while on hunts so she hoped thats what had happened, it was the only thing that accounted for the silence. Rosalie watched as the first girl she noticed to have a sense of fashion began talking to a girl and boy who showed up. The Forks parking lot was small and Rosalie barely caught the words cheerleading.
In the prep school at Rochester Rosalie was asked time and time again to join the cheerleading squad, but she had refused. There was something unappealing about constantly having to be perky and happy twenty-four seven. Things went wrong and there were days when Rosalie couldn't managage a smile to save her life and on those days she would be damned if she had to wear a skirt and jump around in front of people laughing and smiling. Rosalie didn't have anything against cheerleaders, it just wasn't for her.
Rosalie glanced at her watch, still another twenty minutes to go. It had seemed like time was slowing down just to torture her. Rose glanced up from her watch as the girl started heading her way. Rosalie wasn't sure what to do, she didn't want to be impolite, but then again she was here to graduate and move on..not make lifelong friends. She and Jasper had said they wanted to coast through school and becoming a part of a clique wasn't the way to do it. When the girl said Hello Rosalie smiled back " Hi, im Rosalie Hale." She would be friendly...nothing could be hurt by being friendly it wasn't like she was going to be attached to the girl like a baby duck. " So is it really this uncommon for someone new to be here or is everyone just staring at my amazing car?" Rose laughed a little, well it was possible..her car was almost as stunning as herself.

Small Town Homecoming Queen
She's The Star In This Scene (i'm just the girl next door)
I'll just see you at school, Bella
She heard her sister call out to her as she hurried to get dressed in time. She didnt want to go through the toruble of trying to start her truck again, the engine had nearly completely died on her yesterday, she had to call Jacob to do a quick fix for her. As nice as it was of him to come and fix her truck, she didnt want to rely on him every single time her truck died.
Of course by the time she found her old converse sneakers, she heard Alice pulling out of the driveway "Alice, give me a minute!" she called out too little too late. She made it down the stairs and out the door in time to see her older sister driving off Thanks for nothing!" she shouted, huffing under breath as she pulled her jacket around her body just a little tighter. She was wearing her usual...a tank-top with a plaid shirt over it, jeans and her old worn out converse with her dark blue jacket. She'd been meaning to buy new sneakers but her old onces were so confortable that she couldn't bring herself to throw them out.
She sighed lightly as she jogged over to her old beat up red truck and jumped in the front seat, putting the key in the ignition and listened to it roar to life...or rather, sputter to life.
With a small frown she started down the road to Forks High School. She attempted many times to turn on the radio but it didnt seem to be working. She knew by now that it would work when it was ready but that didnt stop her from trying. She'd gotten so distracted by trying to turn on the radio that she hadn't realized that she was already in front of the school building until just seconds later when she looked up.
A few people stared at her truck, some laughing -mostly the popular girls- but Bella spotted her friends as she stepped out of the truck and waved at them. There was Jessica, Angela, Tyler, Eric and a few others...she wasn't popular but she had many friends. Small 'hellos' were exchanged between the group before Bella went off to find Alice.
"Alice?" she spoke once she was close enough to her sister "You could have waited, ya know?...I was like a minute behind..." she paused, only just noticing the new girl that alice was talking to...she looked up, almost shocked to see the girl in front of her. She was beautiful, stunningly beautiful. Bella couldn't help but feel awkward but somehow managed a smile "Hi...im Bella." she spoke in a slightly muffled voice. She couldn't help but feel insecure around girls as pretty as this girl was...with girls like this in the world, why would anyone -Jacob or otherwise- love her enough to want to be with her?

***** "When you live in a place like Forks, anybody or anything new is grounds for people to stare unfortunately." Alice said with a smile and a small laugh as she glanced from Rosalie to her car then back. With a shrug of her shoulders Alice couldn't help another small laugh that passed through her lips as she said: "Actually probably a little of both. Some of the girls are probably sizing you up and trying to decide just what kind of person you are while the guys are doing a little of both. Checking you out and checking out your car. It depends on the guy on which they're checking out more."
Alice knew that boys would be boys and Rosalie was a dream come true for most of them. She was a hot girl with a great car and Alice was fairly certain that every guy there was trying to figure out how to introduce themselves to Rosalie so that they could get a closer look at her car as well as herself. Of course none of them would have the guts to just walk up to her and talk to her like a normal person so Alice hoped that if she did then others would follow her example and stop treating Rosalie like she was the main attraction at some carnival.
Wincing slightly when she heard a familiar voice addressing her, Alice turned to look at her younger sister with a guilty smile on her lips. She knew that she probably should have waited for Bella but it took Alice so much longer to get ready then her sister. If Bella would just wake up a little earlier as opposed to sleeping in then they could both be ready at the same time and Alice wouldn't be constantly leaving her little sister behind. Bella knew that Alice liked to get to school early since if she wasn't hanging out with friends then she had something to do, but somehow Bella always managed to get up just a few minutes too late which meant Alice always left just before her younger sister.
"And you could just set your alarm for five minutes earlier like I've told you to in the past and we'd be good." Alice replied to her sister with a smile. She was in no way, shape or form trying to be mean to her sister but she had made that suggestion to her sister in the past and her sister swore she could be ready at the same time as Alice. Sometimes she was and sometimes she was just a few minutes behind her like today.
Turning her attention back to Rosalie as Bella introduced herself, Alice smiled and draped her arm around her sister's shoulder and gave her a squeeze as she said: "Bella's my younger sister in case you couldn't tell. Do you have any siblings?"

Rosalie had laughed when Alice mentioned that the guys were doing both and the girls were just sizing her up, and she was sure they would have it wrong. Just like at the prep school in NY girls would assume that because she was blond all she wanted to do was get drunk and party:wrong, because she was pretty she would steal their boyfriend: wrong, because she wore designer clothes she was going to be the it-girl on campus: yet another wrong. Rosalie hated the taste of alcohol, and the while she sometimes liked to indulge in a party or two with Jasper the way he was she wasn't in the celebration mood. Rosalie was also not in the mood to date, and wasn't worried about becoming attached to anyone in the small town.
Rosalie had scanned the school parking lot earlier and had came to the conclusion that there wasn't anyone here even remotely close to what she would date. Rosalie's taste was picky and not just any old Washington boy would do.Rosalie had a hard enough time finding someone to date in NY, with all the handsome and rich guys there it was a wonder she hadn't met anyone serious to be with but she didn't, they just couldn't hold her attention. Surely nobody in this small little town could compete. Rosalie watched as another girl started walking over to she and Alice. The girl had the same dark hair, but was a little taller.
The girl had chastised Alice for apparently leaving her and Rosalie couldn't help the small smile that came across her face as the two girls bickered about school. She remembered when she and Jasper would bicker over useless things like who was driving that day and who was going to have to run errands. Those days seemed so long ago now replaced with the worry of death and fear of murder slip ups.
" Hi Bella, Im Rosalie. Yea I can tell, you guys look alike." When Alice asked about her siblings Rose nodded. " Yea I do, a twin actually his name is Jasper, he should have been here by now. " Rose glanced again at her phone and was surprised when there was no message. Worry began to seep in, and she silently started wishing that Jazz's car would turn into the school. " So how long have you guys been living here? "

Post by Edward Anthony Cullen on Dec 1, 2010 9:42:52 GMT -5
Another dismal day, the previous two days the sun had shone the clouds had parted and once again Edward had been confined to their home and the forest that surrounded it, he had hunted non-stop for the past to days, now that the clouds had returned and the sky was once again gray, with promises of rain, it was the perfect day for him, and his brother. It was very rare that the sun did shine, and when it did, the story of camping seemed to set well with the staff of Fork's High school. A New year had begun, and therefore a new beginning, where this year took him, he didn't know, not only that, but he doubted it would make any difference either way. Yet there was a small sliver of hope that held the promise of something, new, something different. The question was, what?
Without paying much attention to the road, nor to where he was going, Edward pulled away from the drive, Emmett had gone hunting that morning and would come to school a lot later as his classes started a lot later, the only lesson the two of them shared was Spanish, which they had, second to last lesson. His silver Volvo glided effortlessly along the long narrow roads that lead to wards the school, before long Edward was pulling into the school, and moments later into a parking space with ease, music blared from the speakers causing many people to look, at least he could pull of the typical boy racer type of person. Once the car came to a stop he cut the purr of the engine, and gazed out at the almost empty car park, he was never usually late, nor was he ever on time, he simply came when he came. Climbing out of his car, he gazed around there were small huddles of people clustered together. Shutting his car door, he locked it, his denim jacket hung on his shoulders, fitting to his frame perfectly.
As he walked though the small collection of cars that had begun piling, in he moved elegantly and gracefully. As he reached the main entrance thoughts captured his attention, one of interest, he turned his head a fraction as he listened to the many thoughts, coming from a small group of girl, one was blond, her thoughts where shallow namely of her self, and her appearance although there was the brief flicker of concern for her brother so he had picked up, her worry for him evident. The smaller girl, the pixie, like figure, her thoughts were on many things, mot of which he found oddly amusing and interesting, he could not help but let a brief smile grace his lips as he passed them, he as not much of the social type, but the shorter girl was, that much was obvious. Now the medium one, with the long brown hair, caught him. His throat burned suddenly the pain searing hot, he resisted the urge to grasp it, his eyes narrowed and venom begun to pool in his mouth, she smelt so very good. So good the temptation to take a bite at that moment, had his mind spinning.
Spinning with possibilities, but that was only one thing, the part that caught his attention the most the part that had he shocked, beyond belief was her thoughts. There was nothing, not so much as nothing, but there was just silence. He frowned, by now he had slowed down his pace, enough to concentrate, perhaps he was on a different frequency of thought? although that was all to rare, with another frown he widened his talent, and was assaulted by many others, all of which he had blocked out for reason. Yet still there was nothing, no sound. Just silence, fruitfully he tried once again, yet it felt like a barrier had been put in place. At that moment he risked a glance at the girl in question, she had medium length hair, that fell perfectly around her shoulders, ins gentle curls, unlike many other girls, she barely wore any make up, if any for that matter. Yet something about her captured his attention he had glimpsed briefly at her chocolate brown eyes, they held warmth, they were like a book, a book that was waiting to be read. But at the same time something forbidden.
Before he aroused to much suspicion and question he turned his gaze away, and spotted one of the few people he knew, whom greeted him with a smile, and a hello, yet Edward nodded a curt hello. But said and did no more. Whoever, that girl was, it intrigued him.

Small Town Homecoming Queen
She's The Star In This Scene (i'm just the girl next door)
Bella rolled her eyes in slight annoyance at Alice and then smiled "You always tell me that. I dont see the problem with me being one minute behind you...you know my truck takes a while to start. If i'd been late you'd be the blame." she muttered slightly, she hated that Alice was always in a hurry to leave for school.
Though, Bella knew that her sister had alot of friends and alot of things she did at the school so she couldnt hold it against her for rushing.
She smiled, a light smile as Alice put an arm around her shoulder and hugged her. She in turn, put an arm around her sisters waist, hugging right back before turning her attention to Rosalie with snother polite smile. She paled in comparison to Rosalie...and Alice. Both were beautiful, Bella was just average. She was neither ugly nor beautiful. She often wondered what JAcob saw in her. He could have anyone he wanted. He was kind and funny and caring, at times very stubborn. Too cuaght up in her thoughts, she almost missed Rosalie's question but snapped out of it in time to hear the 'been living here?' part of the question...she could guess the rest "Um, our whole lives..' she answered simply, her eyes wandering over to her group of friend, all of wh9om were waiting impatiently for her to come back and join in the conversation.
Bella shook her head lightly, hoping they'd get that she was going to stay with her sister for the time being. She looked away from them for only a second, just in time to see Edward glancing at her with curious, questioning eyes. She bit her lip lightly, quickly averting her gaze as she brushed some hair to the side of her face to act as a wall...to keep her from looking at him and him from looking at her. He seemed distant but there was soemthing there...mystery, the sense of danger...she knew it would be very stupid of her to ask her sister who he was, after all she shared quite a few classes with him.
"Hey, Alice...can I um...come to watch you practice later? Ya know, you and your cheerleading drones?" she asked in a light, teasing manner.

***** Alice smiled when Rosalie said that she had a twin brother and she found herself wondering what it would be like to have twin. Sure her and Bella were close but they were so different and not as close as Alice would like for them to be. Obviously siblings were expected to be a bit different but neither she or Bella had anything even remotely in common between themselves. The two were on such opposite ends of the spectrum that Alice had often teased Bella that she was adopted as a little girl because she and Esme took pride in their appearance while as long as the outfit matched then Bella was happy. The truth was thought that Bella took after their father in that respect, not that Alice would ever vocalize that similarity between the two. Neither girl was particularly close to their father so being compared to him was not exactly something either girl wanted.
"What she said." Alice said with a laugh when Bella explained that the two of them had lived there their whole lives. Giving her sister a squeeze with one hand, Alice used her free hand to motion to herself and her younger sister as she laughing said: "Your looking at the result of born and bred Forkinians."
Feeling as if they were being watched, Alice looked around the parking lot before spotting Edward Cullen watching her sister. Eyes narrowing slightly, Alice's grip on her sister tightened somewhat protectively as she turned her attention back to her conversation. It wasn't like Alice had anything against the handsome student but it was just in Alice's nature to watch out for her kid sister since Bella always managed to find trouble. Plus there was the fact that Bella was recently engaged and Alice for the most part liked Jacob even if he had gone from a fun loving guy like herself to Mr. Serious recently.
Looking down at her sister when she heard her request, Alice teasingly let her head and jaw drop slightly. Ever since joining the cheerleading squad as a freshmen, Alice could not recall Bella ever wanting to watch them practice once. Bringing her hand up to her sister's forehead, Alice feigned being worried as she asked: "Are you all right Bells? Are you feeling sick? Since when do you want to watch us practice?"
Eyes lighting up at a sudden thought, Alice grinned as she teasingly asked: "Hoping to learn a new trick to try out on Jacob or something? I mean there are some pretty cool tricks that we do but I don't know that any of them would really work in certain situations. There are a few dance moves I can teach you that might spice up the preshow though."
Alice knew her mother would flip if she found out that Alice was teasing her younger sister about sex but the way she saw it Bella was about to be married anyway. If by some miracle she didn't know about sex yet then she sure better learn soon or she and Jacob would have a very boring honeymoon.

Rosalie felt a small amount of pity for the two girls who had been in this small town for all of their lives. She didn't see how it was possible, the town had no decent clothing stores, restaurants, movie theaters or anything. The nearest town with those commodities was over two hours away. Rosalie wondered how they kept sane with so much boredom. Rosalie was use to the city, she loved the lights and the sounds. There was always a new show out on Broadway or new clothes to try on at the Marc Jacobs store. Boredom was not an issue in New York.
Rosalie was about to comment on Forks when the girl's attention landed on a guy walking across the parking lot. Rosalie's first thought was a small tinge of jealousy because he was breathtakingly beautiful, and it really wasn't fair that a male could be so beautiful. Rosalie's next thought made her stop breathing momentarily, he had the ghost white color of skin her brother had, and the beauty, but there was no way which explained one thing: vampire. Rosalie didn't want to believe it, it wasn't possible. Surely the one that attacked Jazz was just a fluke in New York where things were populated...they wouldn't be here..would they? Those thoughts ran through her head and she quickly dismissed them, there was no way and that was the end of it.
Rosalie smiled as the two girls mentioned cheerleading, so she had heard correctly. Rose had no interest on joining or watching, but she listened politely to their conversation anyway. When Alice brought up Jacob and positions in the bedroom Rosalie couldn't help but laugh a little, the pixie-like girl was obviously torturing her poor sister who Rosalie was sure was not one to normally talk about sexual things...especially in front of a stranger. " Who's Jacob?"

Small Town Homecoming Queen
She's The Star In This Scene (i'm just the girl next door)
Bella couldn't help but look down, almost afraid to look at Edward. His eyes, the way he stood, everything about him screamed at her, made her want to run or at least hide away someplace he wouldnt be able to find her. Se felt her breath caught in her throat as she tried to focus on the conversation at hand. Her heart beating a bit faster than she'd like it to. She swore she could hear her heart beating, pounding against her chest, making it nearly impossible for her to breath at all.
She'd been so caught up in her thoughts and trying to avoid meeting his gaze that she had almost missed the entirety of Alice's questioning "Alice, I feel fine. I just...im not sick." she stammered slightly, keeping her hair over the side of her face to block herself from his staring eyes.
At her sisters next comments, her face turned a bright red and she found herself looking away slightly "A-Alice thats not...y-you can't..." she swallowed the lump in her throat, almost too embarrassed to speak and she glared at Alice, a tinge of anger in her eyes "Thats not funny!" she huffed, biting her lip...in all honesty, she'd never even done anything other than kiss Jacob. He never pressured her thoguh she was sure he wanted to...he was a guy for crying out loud, what guy didnt want to have sex with the girl they'd been with for six years? The idea of him not wanting to was absolutely insane.
She rose her face some to look at Rosalie, her face still red "I- Jacob..Jacob's my fiancee..." she muttered with a sheepish smile, taking a breath and sighed "You'll have to excuse Alice...being funny isn't what she's good at. She tries but the only humor she knows is cruel humor." she half hissed, shoving her hands into the pockets of her jacket, moving a few inches away from Alice.
