 Welcome to Alaska. The Denali coven has called Alaska home for decades and with the sparse population the state has to offer, nobody even knows that the small coven is even in the area. With their home on the outskirts of Healy and boarding Denali National Park, the Denali coven has been able to live in peace and quiet making themselves known to the residence once every few decades.
With the recent sudden death of Healy's doctor, Tanya decided it was time for the Denali's to finally make themselves known to the small town again since they haven't made themselves known since the death of their mother and the immortal child she created. Calling on Carlisle and the Cullen's, Tanya has asked the doctor to help them by moving to the area as a new doctor. In this way he would be not only helping her coven out but they would also be helping out the small town who is having a hard time of replacing their doctor.
Although Carlisle had intended to move his family to Forks, Washington again, he is unable to turn away a cry for help from not only a coven he considers to be part of his family but also a cry for help from a small town that has no medical aide now that their doctor has died. So with the rest of the Cullen's at his side, Carlisle has moved to Healy, Alaska to help the Denali Coven reintroduce themselves to society and to help the small town for as long as he can.
