~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Lesson's that day had flown by, he himself had barely even registered the fact that the day had simply gone because his mind for the most part had been consumed by her everything about her for that matter, her hair for one, how it fell perfectly over her shoulders and dropped around her face, her eyes that held so much information, a window into her mind, a mind that he couldn't read. Dammit! why couldn't he? why was it so frustrating! Not only that but they had shared several passionate, if not emotional moments together and still he denied everything, perhaps he was stupid? No He was sensible, he was taken Alice advice simply ignoring her seemed to be working alright, although he may well be ignoring her but his mind refused to let any thoughts of her go. She was due to be married, it was simply to wrong in his books. Not only that he had recently started 'dating' and old flame, Katherine, whom had been his childhood friend and had only until recently moved to Forks, where they had talked about everything and in turn ended up giving their relationship one other go.
Although perhaps on some level Edward knew he was guilty, did he have feelings for her? maybe, perhaps his infatuation with the girl Bella was simply just a crush, nothing more. Still there was only one way to find out as Katherine had said, to date other people. Katherine herself had now recently applied to attend Forks, and was due to start that day, yet he had yet to see her anywhere. Currently Edward was situated at the dinner table in the hall, students qued for minutes at a time to get their lunch. Lunch that caused his insides to scream in protest, the sheer thought of food, had his nose upturned. There was a point where he would eat anything, and could eat anything, and he would eat so much that he could no longer move. His mother, had always scolded him for that. Frowning he looked to the tray of food before him and pushed it away, the sheer sight of it disgusted him almost. Picking up the apple from the tray however he studied it in the dull lighting of the lunch hall. It's skin was red, blood red, although the taste would be something foul. None the less as he turned it around in his pale slender hand, he replaced it on the tray.
Casting his gaze around the slowly filling hall, and for the most part busied himself by counting the many cracks in the paint work, once done, he then begun to count the tiles that covered the floor, glancing to his watch, he hoped Emmett would hurry up they had Spanish together and then he had biology, with Bella. A lesson he was both anticipating and reluctant to attend. However the doors swung open and scents greeted him, causing his whole body to tense, and had venom begin to pool within his mouth as well as the overwhelming need to bite into flesh. Only one person he knew caused that reaction, yet he did not dare look around, but he knew that she was there somewhere, he hoped for both their sake that Emmett came soon, and for once Edward would perhaps even be glad of the distraction.

Bella had spent the better half of her class time looking at wedding magazines. She didnt want to but after pushing the date up a bit, she felt it was high time she got into the whole 'wedding' mood. Occasionaly one of her friends would bombard her with questions about Jacob. Why she was marrying him, why she was going through with this so early, how she could be so sure that he was the one.
Her response to all of those questions were the same answer 'I love him' she had replied. A simple yet very true answer.
No one knew she had pushed the date of the wedding up, it wasn't until lunch time when she walked into the cafeteria with Jessica by her side that she told anyone, anything "Bella, you know your like crazy, right? I mean marrying someone straight out of high school?" Jessica questioned to which Bella chuckled slightly and shook her head "Actually um...we're not getting married after graduation. I talked him into pushing the date up...I dont think we'll be in town fro graduation. We'll probably be..." she was cut off by a giggle and then a shriek as Jessica jumped up and down.
"You'll be on your honeymoon! Your lucky Bella...Mike and me well..it didnt exactly work out." she shrugged "But im totally happy for you."
Bella smiled a bit, looking around for a minute and spotted Edward there at his usual table "I'll be back in a minute. Hold my seat." she muttered to Jessica before moving to Edwards table and set her tray down lightly before taking the seat across from him "You dont have to say anything...Im guessing you wouldnt even if you wanted to so...just listen." she spoke to him as she lifted her apple, taking a small bite and chewed for a brief second, swallowing shortly after and then continued speaking.
"I just thought you'd like to know you wont have to worry about anything...graduation is like three months from now but i'll be with Jacob before then so...problem solved. " Bella was stubborn and maybe a bit naive but she figured Edward deserved to hear about the wedding going down sooner than anyone thought from her and not from some girl gossiping in the halls about how she thinks the only reason Bella is getting married is because she got knocked up.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Thinking of which, just that moment the one and only person that caused such an effect sat down opposite him, instantly he straightened his posture, his expression tense, and tight, who would of thought that only a mere few days ago they had shared a kiss that had almost changed both of their lives, he knew that by simply avoiding Bella for the most part they were doing both he and Bella a favor, It was the right thing to do, no matter what she said. Before he could even remotely object to the fact that Bella sat opposite him she spoke, her tone rushed as if this too was perhaps the last place she wanted to be at the present time. On the other hand he too had news to tell her, they both had to accept things for what it was and simply move on. There was no other option, or way. This was what it was and how it should say, vampire and humans were never meant to cross paths, in a social standard. Simply being seated near him she was already placing her life in more danger than it should be in, what if others found out? It could mean Bella's life. That was one thing Edward wished to keep safe.
Regarding her, with an unreadable expression, he listened to all that she had to say, as if he had not heard it only moments ago? It was as loud as a bell in the mind of Jessica. To which he had accidentally on purpose listened to recently simply to get the latest information of Bella, although the two rarely spoke now, at least he was doing something he supposed. For one thing keeping and protecting Bella's life and even her welfare, he couldn't leave. Forks not now, so the next best thing he could do, was simply pretend not to exist, to watch and listen from a distance, it was certainly the safest option on Bella's behalf. Still he listened anyway, She was certainly bold coming over he'd give her credit for that. you don't have to say anything...Im guessing you wouldn't even if you wanted to so...just listen. Frowning, he remained silent, but nodded in response, in promise that he would in fact listen. Looking down to his tray of food, He once again toyed with the crimson apple, holding it lightly in his hands as he continued to study the lights reflection. As she spoke, although he was finding it increasing hard to hide his sudden swell of jealousy, this wasn't him. Why was he even thinking such things when he was with Katherine? was it really just some crush?
I just thought you'd like to know you wont have to worry about anything...graduation is like three months from now but I'll be with Jacob before then so...problem solved. Bella commented, and Edward nodded, so she had moved the wedding date? but why? Slowly lifting his golden gaze he looked to Bella, and forced a small tight lip smile. "So I heard. I presume your honeymoon will be wonderful. I wish you the best with it." he commented trying hard not to let his almost bitter twinge seep through. "Why the hold up? I thought you couldn't wait to get married last we spoke? yet on another note I too have news, I ran into an old friend from my..childhood, we have only recently started dating." He admitted, he thought he would make that point clear as Bella would no doubt tell Jessica, and Jessica would in turn tell everyone else which would help in further pushing all those who expressed interest in him away from him.

It was with a stubbornly murderous mind that Rowle moved silently through his day, eagerly eyeing the necks of unsuspecting classmates or forcing back gulps and gulps of saliva, trying to keep himself stable for the day. But then there was that brunette, walking –tripping, more rather– through the day. She had been in about three classes with him so far, and quite frankly, he thought it fair to give her this credit: she was killing him. The stench of her followed him everywhere. Whenever she spoke –which, thank heavens, she only did a lot of when around that annoying Jessica girl– he could smell her breath. Whenever her heart accelerated –which he noted was whenever she saw the youngest looking Cullen– he could hear it, and it pained him. Oh how he wished that heart were closer… oh how he wished she were closer to him.
He’d found himself thinking extremely sinister things about her. He knew he was gorgeous to anyone: she was just a teenage girl, probably as shallow as the others. He could lure her into the gym which was abandoned when there were no P.E. periods, or into the forest on the outside of Forks High. It would be so easy to overcome her; a simple rush would probably terrify her enough to give him leave to simply murder her… quickly, painlessly. The blood would be his before the Cullens, or any other strays lurking around could investigate. But Rowle had faithfully clenched his teeth all day, denying himself that one huge pleasure, and for what? Forgiveness? Redemption? Now it was just a debate on whether or not forgiveness and redemption meant more to him than pleasure and self–gain. For what it was worth, he’d kept a very far distance from her.
The two Cullens Rowle had observed moving through the school for the day was a huge, brutish male and the young, golden eyed one. He didn’t care which one was which, but the bigger one was more intimidating. Rowle had thought about approaching the younger one several times. He’d had the chance to over and over again, when he was browsing his locker needlessly or observing him. Now it was lunch: now was his perfect opportunity. But Rowle gave himself leave to finally confess he was nervous. He’d only heard stories about the Cullens from travelers he’d exchanged friendly hello’s with and such. Never had he heard what they were like. What if he was a dirty, rotten stray to them? He smirked at that thought. If they reacted that way, all he had to do was murder that little Bella girl and their cover would be blown, especially if he shared. So really, the Cullens had no choice. He was prepared to strong-arm them if nobody helped him with this. After all, he desperately needed help to begin with.
Presently, he snuck once more into the cafeteria, eyes scanning over the repulsive food being dished out by humans. How on earth did they like those things? His eyes, subtly turning crimson and black from thirst, swept the area for the Cullens. And then he found the younger one. But alas, there she was. He sank into the nearest seat he could find, once again disrupting a peaceful conversation, that was actually between a flock of girls. The girls eyed him, grinning pleasantly. Normally he would have responded charmingly, but he felt considerably edgy today; not at all in the mood to start flirting. He gulped, and looked away from them, trying to isolate himself from their conversation as much as possible to pointedly refuse joining, as they seemed to want him to.
So Rowle waited, impatiently watching Edward, too afraid to make a move towards the brunette he spoke to. He’d kill her if they found themselves within a foot of each other.

Bella bit the inside of her cheek, listening as he spoke. Hold up? Did he think she moved it to a later date? She shook her head "Theres no hold up. I've pushed the date up a bit. We're getting married sooner than we thought. My dress came in early and we already have a place picked out and the flowers are picked out...everythings ready so we kinda figured, why wait..." she better explained, smiling happily and then smiled more when he said he'd started dating an old friend.
She couldnt help the small ping of jealousy that had built up but she was good at hiding things like that so she didnt let it phase her "Thats great." she nodded "Im glad you found someone..." she took another small bite of her apple, waiting until she had swallowed it to speak again.
I um...I wasnt sure if you'd want to do or not. I mean you probably wouldn't wanna go but um..." she trailed off slightly, twisting the engagement ring she wore on her finger, she'd been wearing it more recently than ever before. She was finding it hard to take the ring ofat times. After a few seconds she went into her backpack and pulled out a white envelope with gold outline and a gold bow tied neatly in the front and put it on the table "In case you wanted to come, im supposed to hand those out to friends from school and people I want o be there." she knew it would be hard for Edward to be there if he decided to go but she wanted him to be there and she hoped he'd agree to go. Sure Jacob would probably be a bit upset that she'd invited a Cullen but Edward, Emmett and Carlisle were her friends. It was only natural she invited them "I gave Emmett his and im gonna give Carlisle his later today..."
She looked over her shoulder for a moment toward Jessica and half smiled before her eyes sought out somethign a bit awkward, something that if she hadnt been used to the fact that vampires were real, would have freaked her out...That guy from class, Rowle? He was looking right at her and Edward "Um...a-anyway if you dont want to come then i-its fine..." she muttered, her voice a bit shaken. Something about Rowle frightened her and it was a rare thing for Bella to be frightened or afraid, especially when she was next to Edward.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ When Bella spoke, he nodded there was really very little he could say was he happy for them? Maybe, perhaps not as happy as he should be. But what did it matter about his happiness? Theres no hold up. I've pushed the date up a bit. We're getting married sooner than we thought. My dress came in early and we already have a place picked out and the flowers are picked out...everythings ready so we kinda figured, why wait.. Was she really that keen to get married? Edward nodded and arched his dark eyebrow but did not meet her gaze he simply couldn't for in his eyes his lie would be visible than the moon its self. "Oh, I see. Great. I'm pleased." he said shortly not really wishing to go into deep discussion about the situation, he would for Bella's benefit try and be generally happy for them, but that was proving harder than he thought. Perhaps he truly did have feelings for her, and by dating Katherine it was a cover up. He frowned softly, why did he suddenly feel so guilty? light glistened at that moment, catching his all seeing eyes, glancing a fraction to Bella he spotted the ring. So it was official then. He felt it at that moment, his vision swirled almost, it felt as if he was suddenly only seeing in black and white, the colour had gone.
Even as she commented about being happy, he too could hear the lie, that was the one thing he had worked out, about Bella. She was a terrible liar. Moments later, further movement caught his eyes, lifting his gaze a fraction more he spotted the small white and gold envelop. In case you wanted to come, I'm supposed to hand those out to friends from school and people I want to be there. A wedding invitation? He felt anger, and jealousy bubble, yet accepted the card and opened it slowly, glancing over the writing it was indeed a wedding invitation. Frowning, pain almost evident on his features, with a mixture of discomfort. For the sheer fact he was within two feet of Bella, and her thumping, racing heart that drove him wild. Folding the letter back into the envelope. As Bella then continued on about inviting Carlisle and Emmett, he knew Emmett would simply go to have fun, Carlisle probably would also, given the amount of times he had tended to Bella. Yet Edward. He couldn't go.
"I'm sorry..I won't be attending. I hope you can forgive me..But i doubt very much that your..husband would want me there." he stated sliding the envelope across the table, perhaps his decline would hurt her, yet it was his decision. He guessed however that Carlisle would probably try and make Edward attend something he certainly wasn't strong enough to do. However in that moment he paused, and looked to Bella, his gaze serious his expression calm, he asked then. "Are you happy?" What ever possessed him to ask such a question he didn't know, but if she really was happy then that's all that mattered. Suddenly the air stirred and a sent both on he knew yet did not recognize greeted, him. His posture grew tense once again, after only just relaxing, scanning the hall his golden eyes suddenly landed upon a boy sat several feet away gazing at Bella with Hungry looking eyes, watching the boy intently for a moment. He certainly didn't wish Bella to be in such a position, with a vampire, just across the table. Looking to Bella he kept his tone level and his posture calm. "I think you had better rejoin Jessica. I believe she wants the latest gossip on what we talked about." he stated flatly he and this vampire would need to talk, however given the look in Bella's eyes, she was in no rush to move.

Post by Katherine Elizabeth Lennox on Feb 1, 2011 19:25:45 GMT -5
***** Katherine let out a soft sigh of relief as the bell rang to signal the end of her history class and the beginning of her lunch break. She had to admit that she had to give Edward and his family credit. She was having a hard time keeping herself from attacking some of the students around the school but she so far was doing ok. Sure there were a couple students she would have loved to sink her teeth into but while it was difficult to keep from feeding off them, it wasn't impossible. Katherine had only been feeding from dangerous criminals for so long now that even though an innocent's blood may have called to her, it didn't cause her to lose control. It was almost as if she'd developed a sixth sense and could tell tainted blood from pure blood in humans and she refused to hurt the pure ones.
Gathering up her belonging, Katherine had to roll her eyes as one of the football players walked up to her and offered to give her a hand. Turning to face the male, Katherine smiled politely at him through the blue contact lens she wore and told him that she was perfectly capable of carrying her own things. When he invited her to join him for lunch, Katherine again smiled politely before shaking her head gently from side to side and telling him that she was already meeting somebody. When the guy asked who she could have possibly already met on her first day at the school, Katherine smiled and said that she had actually moved to that school so that she could be with her boyfriend. It wasn't exactly a total lie and as the football player stood staring at her in surprise, Katherine pulled her sunglasses down from on top of her head and covered her eyes before walking out of the room.
Making her way through the hall, Katherine could feel eyes on her but she just ignored them as she stepped out of the building and made her way towards the cafeteria. The sound of her heels clicked against the concrete walkway as she made her way towards where the sound of hundreds of heartbeats were mixing together to form a soft hum. Taking one slow deep breath, Katherine enjoyed the fresh air before she let it out then pulled open the cafeteria doors and stepped in.
Letting her eyes scan the crowded room, Katherine smiled slightly as she spotted Edward. Pushing her sunglasses up to rest on top of her head again, Katherine ignored the line of students waiting to get food and made her way across the room to where Edward sat with a brunette human. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this was the human that had been causing such a problem for Edward and knowing that one of the reasons she and Edward were giving their relationship another go was to put distance between these two, Katherine walked right up to them without a moments hesitation.
Coming a stop behind Edward, Katherine placed her hand lightly on Edward's shoulder before giving his shoulder a light squeeze and bending down to place a light kiss on top of his head. It was a fairly familiar action on her part since it was something she'd done so many times when they were alive but then they'd been engaged and it was normally something she did when she walked in on him after a trying day. It was obvious that her best friend was tense and Katherine could only assume it was because of Bella. Wanting Edward to know that she was there for him, Katherine smiled down at him before turning to look at the brunette in front of him. "Hello. I don't believe we've been introduced. My name is Katherine Lennox, and you are?"
Taking her hand off of Edward's shoulder, Katherine extending her hand to Bella with a polite smile. She knew she probably sounded a bit formal but it was the way she had been raised to greet somebody she didn't know. Of course back then Katherine wouldn't have been so bold as to introduce herself to somebody unless they were both meeting for the first time and had nobody else to introduce them. In this case they had Edward to introduce them but it was obvious to Katherine he was feeling tense so she figured she'd save him the trouble and just introduce herself.
