Rough hands grabbed her, flinging her across the room. A sharp pain rushed through her shoulder and upper left back as she hit the wall, starting to sink down on the floor as the room spun. The chance was denied quickly. Mackenzie cried out as a hand slammed against her face, with a foot to her stomach quickly following. Gasping for air her knees collasped from beneath her and she was shoved onto the bed. His slimy hands were all over her and she couldn't fight it, darkness overcoming her.
Kenzie shot out of bed, the latest of her vivid nightmares releasing her back into reality. She was panting, almost loud in the near silent house. An arm curled around her stomach, as if it was suddenly real and she was doing her best to protect her womb. "Damn eidetic memory," she muttered to herself. Slipping out of bed, she quickly turned on the lights and glanced out the window. Another rainy day. She sighed softly before rummaging through her closest, pulling on a simple pair of jeans and blouse before throwing on a large sweatshirt. The last thing that she needed was people knowing she was pregnant. Of course the rounded face was harder to hide, but it wasn't like anyone could hear the tiny heartbeat. But that would have been a hell of a way to start the final school year, everyone knowing your pregnant.
Shivering slightly Kenzie ran a brush through her red hair to smooth it over. She dry swallowed her prenatal vitamins quickly, before gathering up her things. Placing it her bag she cheked her phone and recognized the number of the missed call. Deleting it before listening to it at all, she paused by the door of her office. It was filled with everything about her father and her old life. She ran a pale finger over the lock before opening it quickly, grabbing the two most recent articles. She shoved them between some of her books, shaking her head to herself as she grabbed her car keys.
Lightly tossing her items into the passenger seat, Mackenzie shoved the keys quickly into the car. The hum of the engine was relaxing as it started, letting her shoulders relax slightly. She had gone up to the school already once to get a feel for it. It was a small town to say the least. That was what worried her most, word travelled to much. Pulling up in the parking lot she was quick to get inside the school. Perhaps a little too quick as she found herself bumping into someone, stumbling and dropping her textbooks and a loose articles about her father. "I'm so sorry!" She gasped, looking up to see an unfamiliar face.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Lesson's that day had yet to begin, he himself had barely even registered the fact that the day had even begun, because his mind for the most part had been consumed by her everything about her for that matter, her hair for one, how it fell perfectly over her shoulders and dropped around her face, her eyes that held so much information, a window into her mind, a mind that he couldn't read. Dammit! why couldn't he? why was it so frustrating! it was one girl.. Yet, one girl he had done the unthinkable he had tasted the forbidden fruit, and now he hungered for more, yet he could barely wrap his mind around it. So little time had they spent together and so soon, could Edward not image his life without her.
Currently he wanted to hit the table at that moment in irritation and anger, Why did he want her so much, he wanted her beyond anything yet he couldn't. He wanted to find out, had to almost, yet at the same time it was dangerous, extremely dangerous but he couldn't resist the temptation to, could he really resit her when faced with her, her scent that was all to consuming and called to the animal that threatened to expose everything he had tried so hard to contain over the many years, and all of his work, all of it would be wasted if he was to loose control if only for one moment. Currently Edward was situated at the dinner table in the hall, students qued for minutes at a time to get their lunch. Lunch that caused his insides to scream in protest, the sheer thought of food, had his nose upturned. There was a point where he would eat anything, and could eat anything, and he would eat so much that he could no longer move.
His mother, had always scolded him for that. Frowning he looked to the tray of food before him and pushed it away, the sheer sight of it disgusted him almost. Picking up the apple from the tray however he studied it in the dull lighting of the hall. Breakfast for all those who showed up early, he had never been one for breakfast, yet Emmett had insisted on it, simply to catch a glimpse of the one girl that he himself seemed smitten by, Glancing over the hall he could see Emmett talking to her rolling his eyes he got to his feet, and tipped the contents of the tray into the bin, all save from the apple that he kept clutched in his pale hand. Putting the tray away Edward left the lunch hall and made his way out to wards the car park, he didn't even know why he was in today, nothing ever changed, at least not unless she was there, and so far he hadn't spotted her, or her large excuse of transport which was a large hideous truck that didn't seem to even go above 30mph.
As he gazed to the apple in his pale hand he wanted to take a bite, it would taste foul he knew that but it was all to tempting. It's skin was red, blood red. Edward turned it around in his pale slender hand, a couple of times he tossed it idly into the air, he missed the luxuries of humanity, envied humans for the most part, but little could be done. Edward simply had to accept the past. As he caught the apple, in his hand it was just then, that a girl, partly walked into him he tried to move as fast as he could without raising suspicions, yet the girl had clipped his shoulder. Suddenly books were tumbling to the floor, He reached out and caught a majority of them, before he then bent and helped to pick the few text books up along with scatted pages. Glancing to them slightly he said nothing it was none of his business, but he only briefly recognized the picture. Looking up he presented her with he small stack. "It's fine, don't worry about it." he stated, his tone faintly distracted, smooth and soft none the less. "Are you alright?" Edward questioned. Usually any who collided with a vampire often ached a large amount sometimes even had a broken bone or two, yet the girl was lucky that she had only just about clipped his shoulder.

UP UNTIL NOW I HAD SWORN MYSELF THAT I'M CONTENT ( ( W I T H L O N L I N E S S ) ) b e c a u s e n o n e o f i t w a s e v e r w o r t h t h e r i s k - - - & & BUT DARLING YOU ARE THE T H E O N L Y E X C E P T I O N It surprised Kenzie that so many people had come up to the high school early. In Kingston no one ever came to the school early, unless just to escape into some solitude before the day of school. Then again, hardly anyone tried to be alone for quite some time in the small town. They had been ravaged by a serial killer and only she was comfortable to be alone, so to say. Perhaps because she had known all along who the serial killer was. While she had always expected to just be disposed of like her mother and all of those other women, it never had happened. The only result was beatings. According to the bible, that was supposed to purge the inmost being. But she was the same reserved girl she had ever been, other than know she was alone, pregnant, and trying to erase her past from every known database she could access.
Tucking back a loose strand of her red hair behind her ears, Mackenzie glanced at one of the articles she had brought with her. A single picture of her father and many words, that soon became marked in her eidetic memory as she glanced over it. It was nothing she hadn't read before, they all said the same thing. They all explained the depth of her father's brutal murders, how he left behind a daughter, and that he was a monster. Something she agreed with entirely. There was no other definition of a monster, he killed women for his own twisted pleasure. It was disgusting.
Shivering mentally, she let out a deep breath of air that Kenzie hadn't realized she'd been holding. She tucked it back in with the rest of her items, the thought of the monster of a father she had know on her mind. It was something that would never go away, no matter how much she wished she was stuck of it. Even without the hidden baby bump she would have been stuck with it. It was her last physical reminder for the most part, though she knew soon enough there was going to be something that would always remind her. That was something she wasn't looking forward to.
Mackenzie was glad that the bump distracted her from the thoughts, though it surprised her as did it not only hurt more than it should have but he managed to catch some of her books. That was strange. She had bent down only to find that he was presenting her with a stack of her items, much to her surprise. "Uhh... thanks. Sorry again, I should have paid more attention." A slight flush of embarrassment rushed to her pale cheeks, her socially awkward nature taking the best of her. "Yeah, I'm fine. Are you okay?" She hugged the books slightly close to her, uncomfortable in the presence of the attractive male. It wasn't even the fact that he was handsome, she hardly noticed, but just the fact that he was male at the moment was enough to make her uncomfortable.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Of course Edward didn't feel the bump, but he was pretty sure the girl had twice as much, thankfully she seemed to be in no obvious pain, at least he hadn't broken anything. As she took the books from him, Edward made sure that their hands did not touch, that was the last thing he needed. Still as he looked to the girl she appeared..distracted, the sense of fear was very small yet still there, that much he could smell, and given the way she stood, she didn't enjoy the company of men, did she even trust them? He frowned slightly, yet realized it was really none of his business. As she spoke to him, he listened, yet took the moment to glance inside her mind, to read that much more into it, oddly enough he couldn't detect an awful lot. The only thing he really picked up was a jumble mess, about a male, tall, and someone she had some form of link with. Again, it wasn't his place to pry and he certainly wouldn't push matters when he barely knew the girl.
Uhh... thanks. Sorry again, I should have paid more attention. The girl replied, and Edward shook his head, with a fleeting smile, trying to ease the clear discomfort. "It's perfectly fine, please don't worry about it as long as you are not hurt that's all that matters. Forgive my manners, I'm Edward Cullen, It's a pleasure to meet you." he stated his tone all to formal perhaps hugely old fashioned with hesitation he briefly extended his hand and hoped she wouldn't notice the obvious temperature difference. Yeah, I'm fine. Are you okay? She questioned and once again Edward nodded, with a half smile. Glancing at his watch he hadn't noticed the time he had a good while before lessons start, in fact he had only moments a go been debating if to head home, instead of endure the entire day, seeing Bella, being so close to her, yet knowing they could be nothing more than acquaintances. In truth he was tempted to go and find Katherine and spend the majority of the day with her. Still none of it was of any real importance nor did it matter such a great deal.
Looking to the female for a long moment he pressed his lips together but decided to speak his mind, as well as her, perhaps she simply needed a nudge in the right direction, as fellow students passed with it did a gentle gust of wind, stirring the scent of the female before him. It was musky, and there was the faint tang of apples, yet there was something else, mixed just faintly beneath her scent. A scent that had not yet developed. His golden eyes flickered to the girl sudden thoughts of a child seemed to flicker in her mind, a child of the man she apparently hated. He glanced then down to her stomach, she was with child?. Of course, it was obvious the way she held herself even the way she walked and the hesitation to bend. So Edward spoke, perhaps not the most wisest of choices. "Things will not get better unless you leave the past behind. You can only move forward when you stop going back." he added, then frowned to himself. Certainly not the most wisest of comments, looking down he paused before he then turned around and begun to slowly head away.

UP UNTIL NOW I HAD SWORN MYSELF THAT I'M CONTENT ( ( W I T H L O N L I N E S S ) ) b e c a u s e n o n e o f i t w a s e v e r w o r t h t h e r i s k - - - & & BUT DARLING YOU ARE THE T H E O N L Y E X C E P T I O N "Mackenzie Stone," What a lie! Of course the name flew off her lips all too smoothly and no one knew of her actual name. Even then that wouldn't cease the possibility of her real name getting out, of the fact that it wouldn't be too hard to connect it with the infamous killer that shared the exact same last name. She couldn't help the fact that she was a monster spawn. While perhaps it would have been easier to change her name through the courts it left trails that were too easy to find for her liking. Doing it herself was much more efficient in her opinion and would hopefully work much better. Secrets were supposed to be kept a secret for a reason, especially when they were as dangerous as her own. It was bad enough living with the memories.
A small smile cracked at her lips as he nodded. Perhaps Mackenzie should have worried more about herself with the protruding bump hidden well under her shirt, but it was nothing terrible that she couldn't ignore. Yes, she could feel the little baby tumbling slightly from it but she wasn't worried. She couldn't afford to worry over small things like that. There were worse things that she could be worrying about. Things she didn't want to bring up, ever.
Kenzie didn't miss it when his eyes flickered down to her stomach. Her lips pressed together in a slight frown, uncomfortable and unsure how to take it. She could have tried to be optimistic and just assumed that he was another perverted teenage boy, but his eyes weren't in the right spot. It didn't take much for her to realize this and hug her books closer to her, wishing that the bump was tinier or nonexistent enough. It was harder to cover now, being twenty-nine weeks along was something she should have showed off. But how could he know so quickly was what troubled her.
The words caused her eyebrows to furrow slightly in confusion. How did he know that she lingered so much on the past? Mackenzie was almost positive nothing in her words or actions could have hinted toward it. As he started to walk away, she was rather brisk to follow and speak. "What do you mean?" It was not her exactly intended question, as what she could have said more specifically would give away far too much, but it would hopefully do for now. Because there were much worse assumptions going on through her head at the moment, mainly the possibility of him knowing either (or worse, both) of the secrets. The couldn't be possible... hopefully. Though hope was something that was hard to come by for her.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Mackenzie Stone,
Edward saw the lie even before he heard it yet once again, it wasn't his place to ask, nor was it to presume anything. So he kept his thoughts, and opinions to himself at least for now, although in her expression it was painfully clear or the unhappiness she seemed to suffer even the fear of everyday life seemed to be holding her back, it took no real genius time to work out that the girl before him wasn't your average girl if anything, there was something she alone was hiding. Something she perhaps was even a afraid of, her past maybe? He noticed the tight lipped smile at her sudden insecurity intensified as he glanced to her stomach. Something was defiantly off, something odd that much he was sure of. Something she wasn't inclined to share something she was perhaps ashamed of? but if that was the case then why did she keep it. The child as it was now apparent. After speaking very little, yet speaking the truth to an extent he begun to head away and to wards the doors that led out into the car park yet the sound of footsteps behind him stopped him in his place, and as he turned around a fraction he saw the girl, Mackenzie approach him. What do you mean? She questioned and Edward frowned slightly and said his tone soft, only faintly understanding yet he could never really understand only sympathize and that probably wasn't what the girl wanted. "I mean what I said, something trouble you..something form your past I presume, and you keep revisiting it, you are never going to move on with your..life." he paused choosing his words carefully. "Your better of letting go of the past, it's not easy believe me...but accept it and only then can you move forward." Edward commented, yes he no doubt probably sounded like a raving lunatic, but that was the best he had, given such close space, and the many current eaves droppers that passed by, they were certainly listening if their thoughts were anything to go by. It certainly wasn't his place to say such things but the girl looked like she needed some form of help, someone to talk to maybe? Although he could only do so little, for example offer advice, he couldn't be or do anything more, it was just as dangerous. As he stood to the side out of the way of the many passer bys, he waited for a moment watching her, making sure he had not shocked her too much, and making sure she was still pretty sane after such comments, perhaps he had been to bold? Still he hoped he had helped if only a fraction.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~( words enough ) ( tags open) ( outfit goes here ) ( lyrics "zombie" by the cranberries ) ( credit this template was made by zee (a.k.a. UP UNTIL NOW I HAD SWORN MYSELF THAT I'M CONTENT ( ( W I T H L O N L I N E S S ) ) b e c a u s e n o n e o f i t w a s e v e r w o r t h t h e r i s k - - - & & BUT DARLING YOU ARE THE T H E O N L Y E X C E P T I O N Was it even possible that he could actually know the truth about her and her past? Kenzie didn't even want to have to consider the thought. Being pregnant at eighteen was one thing by itself, but in her old town after it had been revealed that her father was the infamous serial killer ravaging them, not a single person was able to look at her the same. No one wanted to be associated with a kid of a serial killer. They all expected her to have the same habits - hurting and torturing animals, the desire to kill someone. None of them she of course possessed, thankfully, but sometimes the rumors were enough insanity to torture her. It was a small town, so perhaps she was wrong to stereotype, but that was supposed to be where all of the worse rumors came from.
His words deeply troubled her. Of course Kenzie was able to put on that mildly happy, seemingly normal antisocial teenage girl. That wasn't too difficult if in a large group. One on one however was much more difficult and this was only seeming to prove her theory. "How do you know that, though? ... You can't. I didn't say anything about it." That was reasonable, perhaps. It was certainly true, not a word had passed from her lips about all of the troubles in her past. Her name surely hadn't given it away, the last name was a false one and her first name was rather common. Even moving here she hadn't informed anyone where she was from other than the east coast for the pure sake of avoiding all detection about who she was. But if he could figure this all out so quickly... who said anyone else couldn't? That wasn't a good thought.
Believe him? How the hell was Mackenzie supposed to believe him - she didn't even know him! While she had come to terms with the fact that other serial killers had indeed been fathers (though most ended up murdering their family as their last kill, she had barely escaped that) it was rather rare as most couldn't hide the psychotic tendencies. "I can't let go of it, I don't have a choice." Not when it's inside of me, Her thoughts added bitterly though she knew better than to say it aloud. "But... I can't believe you. I have no reason to, and don't even try to give me that faith or religion shit. I've learned to believe in a lot of things, but facts are necessary." A bit snappier than she had intended, perhaps the cause of her blush, but sometimes words escaped from her mouth without her realizing it.

erhaps he had said to much, and perhaps at the moment she was experiencing a mild panic attack? although she looked calm there was almost a note of shock about her. Debating whether to leave or not he pushed off from the wall and was about to turn and walk away, and only stopped when the girl Mackenzie spoke her tone rushed, and fear did certainly lace her voice, but he too could smell it. So there was an obvious darker, deeper secret than that of her pregnancy, most girls took it on their shoulders these days, if she really feared the aspect of people knowing she was pregnant then why did she not leave? or worse yet, abort the child. How do you know that, though? ... You can't. I didn't say anything about it. She stuttered and tripped over her words, he paused and gestured her into the closest class room that was vacant at the moment. Once inside he shut the door behind him, he very much doubted the girl wanted to share it with everyone, besides there had been another eaves dropping around the corner, so here was perhaps a lot safer in many respects. Raising hi hand he worked to sooth her, his voice was clam, gentle and smooth, a gentle tone. "Clam down, please..It's alright I do not intend to tell any one else, it's not my business." he admitted his tone level perhaps even faintly understanding.
Lowering his hands then Edward looked to the female before him, she looked generally terrified. "In answer to your question.. I know many things, more than I care to know, I supposed you could say I have a...talent for it." Edward explained, he had to watch what he said encase he said to much. He certainly didn't fancy putting this girls life in danger more than it perhaps already was given the look she bore and her general hesitancy to everything and everyone. I can't let go of it, I don't have a choice. Edward pressed his lips together as he heard the last of her thought. "I perhaps understand you more than you give me credit for, I know that you are with a child, yet I now know there is something darker that troubles you, please tell me, and I would imagine, I can probably relate to such a thing. Chancing his words he added softly, as he moved to lean back against the desk. "Just because it is inside of you..does not mean that it cannot be controlled, it's not what you are who determines who you are, it's what you do." He stated speaking from experiencing, and this subject he knew all to well, so he decided to pry slightly. If only a fraction.
But... I can't believe you. I have no reason to, and don't even try to give me that faith or religion shit. I've learned to believe in a lot of things, but facts are necessary. The girl retorted, religion? he wished her the best of luck if she thought he was going to preach to her about such things given the very fact even hell it's self had spat him back out. "Alright, let's try another method..." he paused he would preach to the girls mind rather than her self. Perhaps they had a fair amount in common, putting everything together Edward spoke. "I speak from experience, running from what you are, or what has happened helps very little, I suppose I could say this. Inside me, there is a monster, so dangerous, hell it's self spat me back out, I'm stuck in limbo, going no where. My thoughts are haunted by memories, facts and fiction. No matter how hard I try to run from them, they will always be there, I here them no matter where I go, they haunt my every step, every movement. You want to escape but can't afraid of what others will see, what you in turn may see, you want to forget the past, but you can't I have tried. The only way possible is to move forward accept it for what it is, and to do what you can, to tell those voices and those memories to be quiet." He stated, Edward had never been one for helping never really been one for interaction of any kind given what he was, who he was. Yet this girl clearly needed help, and clearly she perhaps needed someone to talk to, to listen to her.
