IM A HAZARD TO MYSELF (im a walking disaster, always falling down...nothing more than a hazard!) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
It wasn't like Alex to wander out of La Push, she was usually cautious about where she was going but tonight she just wanted to go hiking. A nice pieceful and calm hike through the woods. Things were going so well with Embry, she was happy and he made her smile, made her laugh. She couldnt help but be happy around him. He was like the sun, always bright and always warm. She had really taken a liking to him.
It had just turned 6pm and the sun had just set after shining over the town all morning. It had been a rian free day which was a good thing. To be honest, she didnt know how much more rain she could handle. It was bad enough that she was somewhat clumsy but the rain only made it that much worse, that much easier to slip and fall.
She was already recovering from a fall she took in school today in which, she'd sprained her ankle walking down the steps, something she had managed to hide from Embry all day but she could no longer pretend it didnt hurt.
Half an hour into the hike she decided to talk, she winced and stopped to sit down on a patch of grass in the beautiful meadow she'd happened upon. It was quiet, truly beautiful. With a sigh, she put a hand to her ankle -her bruised and slightly swollen ankle- putting a bit of pressure and began to massage it slowly to try and ease the pain "Stupid...I really need to not wear heals when im walking down the stairs...next time im wearing sneakers to school." she muttered to herself and frowned lightly as she stayed where she was, rubbing the pain away from her ankle in hopes that she could head home and cook herself some dinner...the plus side to not having parents? There was no one there to worry when your gone far too long.

The darkness of the evening as beginning to settle in, the faint hoots of owls echoed in calling out into the slowly arriving evening. The moon was slowly making it's appearance know, the sun had just set casting long shadows of the trees stretching across the forest floor, The light was fading fast small splashes of light remained through the thick canopy of twisted trees, elongating the trees roots into unwelcoming tendrils. The screeches of foxes sounded, in the instance preparing for their own hunt wildlife surrounded the area each beginning to stir from their nest. To many, they would stray away from such a sight and sound, yet a boy, lone, pale and with deadly accuracy and precision didn't mind it. It was after all better the socializing with humans. He felt at peace hear among the trees and the gentle rustle of leaves, here he was free to be what he was. A Vampire.
He had had his fair share with humans, he doubted he would ever socialize with them again, Or place another being in danger., Much as he had done with Bella Swan, whom had recently captured his heart and soul. He did not regret such a decision, to no talk to her, it was the most wonderful thing he had ever done, so many windows had opened on that day, as well as so many doors. So many times did the boy's hawk like vision swoop over his surroundings, yet his eyes, so clear, yet clouded was haunted by those whom he had slain all those years ago, that long time ago. The screams sometimes still echoed in his mind, like a constant reminder.
In the falling night there was path that was walked by a hunter of animals and humans alike, it was just as deadly, and now he was hunting. Slipping through the trees, he prowled quietly, occasionally he would duck or leap over a fallen tree, only to nimbly land once again and continue his hunt. His feet barely making any sound on the forest floor. He moved at such inhuman, un-natural speed and grace that even the shadows themselves recoiled. The scent of a doe called to him, and reeled him in, filling his nose and dead lungs with a wondrous scent. His mouth all but pooled with venom, his eyes were black, a dark abyss, devoid of all human emotion savor for the gluttony need and lust to feed. A monstrous feeling, invaded his mind. His thoughts. His eyes remained a coal black.
There, eventually stood before Edward was another creature, lone and grazing idly, it's ears flicked in the night. Weary. It's eyes bright. The pray in which he desired was still oblivious to the fact that death would soon be upon it. It grazed continuously. With the creature so close, it's scent sharp and tempting, it teased Edward's very instincts and a tremble of hunger shuddered through his body, like wild fire. Edward circled closer keeping the creature in sight, as he moved forward further still. Not yet did he wish to scare her, not yet. Eventually he moved till he stood behind it, it's scent strong and overpoweringly sweet. It would of course not state the full hunger he yearned for, yet it would only faintly satisfy him, Excitement grew at the prospect of such, Warm, crimson liquid touching his pale cold stone lips. Staring with eager eyes Edward gazed to the innocent creature, Edward could not help yet pity the poor thing. The doe was young, barely a little one nor a mother.
Suddenly, sensing the immediate danger, It took flight. In a blur unseeing to the human eye Edward moved fast. Although the creature tried with all of it's might to out run him, Edward was faster still, He circled around to the side of the creature as it darted form left to right. Approaching it in swift notion, Edward had cut it off, grappling onto the innocents body, with practiced notions, a sharp crack sounded. With a parting of his pale lips. He tore at what he wanted. Blood. It filled his mouth in a rush, Turning his once pale marble lips into a grotesque red. Slowly his eyes returned to a light color, the familiar golden liquid topaz. The doe of course lay motionless, it's eyes open in horror, Edward caught the flicker of light as it left the creatures eyes. Before it, like a candle was snuffed out. Lifeless and still. The poor creature never stood a chance.
Raising from the carcass of the creature, his golden eyes swept around the area, he was not yet full, yet he was apart from Bella at that moment in time, and that hurt more than he thought possible. Moving on swiftly once again through the thick cluster of trees, he came across a path he was all to familiar with, the path to wards his meadow, a meadow he would certainly have to show to Bella. Yet as he approached the clearing a scent greeted him, it's mixture was sweet, yet there was an edge of a scent that caused him to retch. The scent of a dog. Frowning, he moved swiftly on, had they forgotten the treaty? was it yet another attempt at teasing them further? or perhaps they were simply new? As he reached the meadow, he came to a steady jog, breaking the line of trees, his golden eyes settled upon a girl, who crouched low, rubbing her ankle, tasting the air faintly he frowned further. No She certainly wasn't a wolf her scent wasn't as strong, but it was certainly masked by the odor of dog. Approaching the female, Edward choose his words and steps cautiously before he spoke. "Excuse me..Are you alright?" He questioned his tone careful. Soon he came to kneel before the girl, her ankle certainly looked swollen, and bruised perhaps sprained he would imagine. Still he waited for the girl to speak first.

IM A HAZARD TO MYSELF (im a walking disaster, always falling down...nothing more than a hazard!) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Alex frowned a bit as she looked down at her ankle, regretting ever wearing those damn heels "Crap, not my day. Note to self, listen to Embry and not go into the forest alone or with heels." she knew Embry was right to tell her not to go into the forest alone, it was always creepy. He'd also been right in telling her not to go in the forest with six inch heels. She was clumsy and the forest was littered with broken branches, easy for someone to trip and hurt themselves.
She was pulled away from her thoughts however when someone spoke, asking if she was okay. She looked up and smiled, a perfect and flawless white smile "Um, yeah." she nodded her head a bit, lying through her teeth but the last thing she wanted was some complete stranger helping her out. She had never seen this guy in her life...well, its what she gets for spending all her life on the Res. she never left, in all honesty this was her first time being away from La Push. She'd never actually visited anywhere else.
"Just kinda...I-I think I twisted my ankle." she half chuckled at how clumsy she was and smiled sheepishly as she attempted to her back on her feet, wincing at the pressure she placed on her ankle "I-im fine though. Its what I get for wearing these stupid shoes. I mean i'm already clumsy as all hell. Why i'd wear these damn things."
She bit her lip, looking up at the guy, finally catching a good look at him face. His eyes were beautiful. Golden, like...topaz.
Alex smiled again, wondering if she would regret asking for help I wonder if he'd help if I asked... she thought to herself before deciding against it. If he did turn out to be some kind of weird it would be best not to ask him for help. She didnt like trusting people or talking to them. She'd learned from past experiences that getting to know someone, talking to someone or befriening someone only ended badly. Mostly for her.
