personality: Before Kat was turned she was your typical girl next door. Her parents were wealthy but Kat was not a rich bitch. She loved animals and as a result had numerous pets, all of which she just seemed to have a natural connection with. She fun loving but at the same time well brought up and knew her place. She never did anything to cause any trouble and was the ideal young woman. After she was turned though Kat began to slowly change. Well she is still fun loving, Kat's old beliefs have been long gone. She now loves to show skin since she wasn't allowed to before. She'll respect men to an extent but is no longer afraid to question them or stand up to them. She is fiercely independent and has become an expert hunter. She is well versed in either completely disposing of human bodies or making the deaths look as if something else killed the person.
When she was first turned, Kat balked at the idea of feeding off of humans but when she discovered her connection to animals and her ability to communicate with them, it made it nearly impossible for her to ever consider feeding from them. Now while Kat may feed from the occasional dangerous animal when she has no other option, (dangerous to her being animals who enjoy hurting humans) Kat prefers to feed from worse of society. Kat won't feed from just anybody, the only humans she'll feed from are murderers, rapists and other humans who prove to be a danger to society.

history: Kat was born the second child to Andrew and Eleanor Lennox a couple nights before Valentine's Day in 1902. She was your typical child growing up with two brothers who enjoyed picking on her but at the same time were fiercely protective of her. While her brothers gave her the occasional hair pull or push on to the floor, if anybody else did something to hurt Kat the two would team up against them. The Lennox's were an extremely close knit family although Kat did find herself somewhat jealous of the freedom her brothers had while she had so many more rules about what made up a proper young lady. Kat tried not to let all the rules get in her way though and although she did abide by all the rules given to her, Kat still had a spark of life that made her a lot of fun to hang out with. Kat also seemed to have a natural gift when it came to animals and always had at least one pet whether it was a dog or cat to keep her company.
On Valentine's Day of 1918, Kat received a surprised that made her extremely happy but nervous at the same time. That day Kat's parents had invited some family friends over for dinner. After the meal, the Lennox's were in the parlor with Masen's when Kat's father turned to look at her and tell her that they had a surprise for her. Anxious for the surprise, Kat asked her father what it was when she noticed movement next to her. Edward, the Masen's son and a lifelong friend of Kat's was holding out a jeweler's box towards her with the lid up and a ring glittering in the light. As Kat shifted so that her body was facing him, Edward asked Kat if she would do him the honor of being his wife. Caught off guard by the proposal, Kat just stared at Edward for a few moments before she heard her mother's voice saying her name. Shaking herself out of her shock, Kat smiled at Edward and told him that she would love to spend her life with him and from that moment on she was his fiancee.
After accepting the proposal, Kat found out that her father and Mr. Masen had actually been planning her marriage to Edward since the day she was born. Both were successful business men and wanted to see their business's combine through Edward and Katherine. While Kat would have liked to have had a chance to be properly courted by Edward, the truth was they had been close for so long that she couldn't imagine anybody better for her father to arrange her marriage to. For the first few months of their engagement, Kat and Edward made the required social visits to announce their upcoming wedding. The two were well liked in their social circle and everybody was anxious for the two to be wed. They were expected to become one of Chicago's leading social couples and while Kat didn't necessarily want the attention, she acted as if she was more then ready for it.
Edward and Kat had been engaged for four months when Edward's birthday rolled around. The two had dinner with their parents and her brother's before her parents had to leave to attend a ball one of their business associates was throwing. Normally Kat and Edward would have joined them since Edward was being groomed to take over the business but Edward told their parents he preferred to spend a quiet evening in for his birthday. Since this would be one of, if not the last birthday he had where he could put his own wants ahead of the business, their parents allowed them to stay home since Kat's brother's would be there. However, not long after their parents left, Kat's brother's friends arrived and the two took off telling their sister that they would be back before their parents were. After all, with Edward there it wasn't as if Kat would need protection and they knew that the two were a proper young couple who wouldn't do more then possibly kiss.
Edward and Kat had been alone for only about a half hour when their kissing began to progress. Edward asked Kat if she was sure about what they were about to do and in response Kat led her fiancee up to her bedroom where she gave up her virginity to him. Although Kat knew that she should have waited for their wedding day, the fact that their wedding wasn't scheduled until December made it seem so far away. She told herself it wasn't too terrible considering Edward was the man she was going to marry anyway and to her it was the best present she could have given to Edward for his birthday.
After his birthday, the two continued to plan out their wedding until their plans came to a screeching halt in September of 1918. First Edward's father died of the Spanish Influenza then Edward and his mother were hospitalized with it. Kat of course visited Edward daily despite her family's wishes. It was on her way home from one of her visits that Kat's life took a sudden change.
Kat was on her way home from visiting Edward when she was pulled into an alleyway but an unknown attacker and carried off to an abandoned building on the outskirts of town. They bit her and drained her of nearly all of her blood before leaving her for dead but Kat wasn't dead. Instead she went through the three most painful days she had ever experienced. After her transformation Kat realized she was no longer human. After her first time feeding, Kat stayed in Chicago long enough to learn that Edward had passed away and her family was looking for her. Knowing that she didn't have a choice, Kat left the city and began to wander around the northern states. Kat only fed from evildoers and it wasn't long before she discovered that she could communicate with animals.
For a little over thirty years Kat roamed across the northern United States before finally making her way towards Europe. It was while she was in Europe that she heard about the Volturi and set out to find them. After being accepted by them, Kat decided that she wanted to stay among them. It wasn't until a surprise visit to the Voluturi recently by an old friend of theirs that Kat found her world turned upside down again. She entered the main chamber one day after hearing that the Volturi's friend, Carlisle Cullen, was their with his two sons. Wanting to meet Carlisle, Kat showed up only to stop dead in her tracks at the site of Edward. All these years she had mourned his death but like herself, he was among the living dead.
The two began to talk and their friendship was rekindled. Although they still seemed to be as close as ever, one thing kept them apart. Kat's burgandy eyes and Edwards golden ones marked them from being two separate branches of the same tree. With Kat's ability to communicate with animals she couldn't stand that Edward fed from them while Edward wasn't too big on the idea that she fed from humans. Edward actually told Kat that if it wasn't for the fact that she fed from humans and that she was a member of the Volturi they could more then likely pickup where their relationship had left off.
After Carlisle and his sons left, Aros approached Kat about following the Cullen's. He wanted them to join the Volturi's ranks and with his blessings, Kat left Europe to follow the Cullen's to America. Having just arrived in Forks, Kat plans to tell the Cullen's that she has left the Volturi. She plans on telling Edward that she left them for him and hopes to get their relationship back to what it was so she can slowly begin to turn him, and hopefully the rest of his family, into new members for the Volturi.

Kat sighed as she made her way through Forks in the new Merceds Benz convertible that the Volturi had purchased for her to use while she was in Forks. She had arrived in Seattle, Washington late the night before from Italy and had found a man waiting for her when she stepped out of the airport with a sign that said her name and a set of keys to her brand new convertible. Kat had to give Aros credit. When he sent a vampire out on a mission he took care of all the details that would help them to blend more easily into society. Kat knew she was going to have one hell of a time finding anybody to feed off of in Forks so before she had made her way towards her new home she had made sure that she was well fed. She knew Seattle was filled with rapists, murders and other huge law breakers. Forks at the most probably had a few speeders, maybe a thief? They weren't the kind of people that Kat fed off of so she knew that she would end up having to leave Forks on a regular basis to make sure she stayed well fed and didn't attack humans in the town.
Pulling her car into a parking spot outside one of the small shops on what seemed to be Forks' main street, Kat cut the engine of her car then pushed open her door before stepping out. Curled up on the passenger seat of Kat's convertible was a new Siberian Husky puppy that Aros had gifted Kat as a companion for her trip to Washington. He knew that he couldn't send any of the other Volturi with Kat if his plan was to work so he had gotten the puppy for Kat as a companion so she wouldn't be completely alone in her new home. The thought behind her gift had touched Kat but at the same time she knew she couldn't let herself feel any sort of sentiment towards Aros or the rest of the Volturi. Edward would read her mind and for Aros plan to work she had to make Edward think that she was having second thoughts about the Volturi so had come out to join him and his coven.
Are we there yet?
The high pitched voice that entered her thoughts caused Kat to look into her passenger seat and smile at the sight there. Her puppy was on his hind legs with his front paws resting on the armrest of the door. His head was looking from side to side as he took in the scenery around them with his tail wagging. Shaking her head, Kat replied to the puppy by letting her own thoughts enter the thoughts of her new pet. "No I have to pick up the keys to our new home from the realtor across the street. She's supposed to show us how to find our new home since it's outside of town and I have no clue where we're going."
Smiling as the puppy turned to face her, Kat watched him jump over the center console to stand on her seat and face her. His tail wagging, the puppy asked if he could go with her to which Kat shook her head apologetically. "I don't know if they allow dogs in their office and I don't want to get in trouble. You just stay in the car and make sure nobody tries to steal it."
Smiling as her her puppy said he'd do it, Kat watched him jump into the backseat before he sat in the middle of it. His eyes were scanning the area around the car as if he was making sure nobody would come close to it which caused Kat to smile. Telling him she'd be back in a bit, Kat made her way towards the back of the car before looking both way. She may have been immortal but that didn't mean that she wanted to get hit by a car any time soon.
