personality: Rachel Black is easily one of the nicest and most easy going person that you could ever hope to meet. She makes an effort to get along with everybody because she enjoys being surrounded by friends. She rarely gets upset and even when she is you’d never notice it since she normally can push her own emotions to the back of her mind. Only somebody who knows her really well and can read the emotions that are rarely hidden in her eyes, will know whenever Rachel isn’t feeling like herself.

history: Rachel and her twin sister Rebecca were both born one cold story night in early December. Their mother used to teasingly tell them that they were an unexpected but welcome early Christmas present. The twin hadn’t been due until mid to late January and although both Sarah and Billy had been worried because of how early they’d been born, both were extremely happy to finally have them in the world when the doctors told them that the girls were healthy. The only thing they‘d need was to spend a few extra days in the hospital . After those days were over however, the twin were able to head home and be with their parents. Rachel and Rebecca were home a week and a half before Christmas.
As the oldest of the two Rachel felt like she had to keep an eye on her younger sister and after Jacob was born she felt like she was responsible for his well being as well. Although her parents did occasionally ask her for help by asking her watch her siblings while they did things around the house, neither one ever really made her feel like she had to do it. Rachel had a nurturing side to her that just made her want to take care of her brother and her sister while Rebecca was a bit more free spirited. Rebecca did help when it came to keeping an eye on Jacob but more often then not Rachel was the one watching their younger brother whenever they went to the park or out to play with the other kids in the neighborhood.
Before she got to middle school, Rachel was the quiet shy girl who could normally be found in the corner of a playground with a book in her hands. While her twin ran around and played with everybody else, Rachel would be either reading or just watching the other students. She had a couple of friends in elementary who were like her and would join Rachel in her little corner of the field. They’d have their own books that they were reading but all that began to change when Rachel got to be in middle school.
During Rachel’s seventh grade year her sister decided it was time that Rachel began to open up more and began to do more then just read in the corner. Rebecca would drag Rachel over to her group of friends and with her friends help, Rebecca began to slowly transform her sister. Rachel began to learn how to dress with a sense of style and she was no longer wearing the jeans and basic shirts. Rebecca showed Rachel she could wear jeans and a tee if she wanted, she just had to learn how to pick clothing that was more flattering to Rachel’s body.
Slowly Rachel began to open up but everything came to a grinding halt when during her seventh year, Rachel’s mother was involved in a terrible accident that cost her her life. Rachel did her best to move on and she, as well as her twin, began to do more around the house. They split the chores but because she was the oldest, Rachel took a bit more upon her own shoulders. She always woke up an extra half hour early so she could get lunches ready and she left the house twenty minutes before her sister did so that she could walk with Jacob to his school. Her brother wasn't that much younger then her but Rachel felt like it was her responsibility to get him to school safe. When Jacob himself reached middle school Rachel didn’t need to worry since he just walked with her and Rebecca but when they got to high school she knew she couldn’t keep walking him to school. She did however continue to get up early to make everybody’s lunch.
No in high school Rachel has had a couple of boyfriends, each of which lasted a few months, one lasted all through her junior year but they broke up a couple months before school let out. In high school Rachel has opened up more and she is a member and captain of the La Push High girls soccer team and also a member of the cross country and track teams.

Rachel scrunched up her face slightly as a few loose strands of hair fell from behind her ear to fall in front of her face. Blowing against the strands in an effort to get them out of her face, Rachel sighed after her third attempt and used her fingers to tuck her hair behind her ear again. Knowing she had gotten flour in her hair, Rachel told herself that she'd have to take a shower after she finished up in the kitchen and went back to rolling out the dough for the pie crust she was working on.
About twenty minutes later Rachel had a cheery pie baking in the oven as she washed her hands in the kitchen sink. Drying off her hands, Rachel took off her apron and hung it on a hook before walking out of the kitchen and heading to her room. Rachel knew that she had a bit before her pie was done so decided that she would take a quick shower to get rid of the flour that was now in her hair. She had no clue where her sister, brother or father were but she knew that she would have to start on dinner for the family soon. The only reason she had been able to make the pie that night was because she didn't have any practice on Tuesdays so it left her free to bake which was something Rachel loved to do.
When she finished her shower, Rachel headed back to the kitchen where she began to peel the potatoes she was going to use for the mashed potatoes she was planning on making for dinner. With the potatoes peeled, Rachel had just thrown them into a pot of hot water when the timer for her pie went off. Taking out her pie, Rachel set it on the counter nearby as she went back to preparing the steaks she was going to throw in the oven for their dinner.
