I'm descending into Hell A.K.A High school
Staring at the clock on the wall of the room Jasper let out a groan. He was sitting in a class he'd already taken. It was pointless for him to even be in here let alone the smell of the students was starting to get to him. It was Monday, and his first day at Forks High and already he'd seen kids, mainly females, trying to get his attention and make conversation with him. This was just ridiculous to be sitting in an anatomy and physiology class for supposedly gifted students when he'd already taken it at a college level. The teacher had called on him once or twice when he seemed to be 'dozing' off and looked shocked each time when Jasper produced the right answers and more in depth than was required. One thing he was thankful for they'd already studied blood so they wouldn't have to do anything that involved it anymore. Glancing at the clock Jasper noticed a redhead girl staring at him and trying to get his attention by waving slightly. He merely looked over her and closed his book before resting his head on it and waiting for the bell to ring for lunch, not that he'd be eating but it meant he could get outside and away from people for a while.
After what seemed like forever the bell finally rang and Jasper was the first one out of the class room, just a little to fast for normal human pace. Before he realized it Jasper was headed toward the parking lot a couple feet behind a petite brunette girl who like him hadn't planned on sitting in the lunch room. Jazz gave a slight laugh at the idea of even a human not wanting to be around others or potentially not wanting to endanger her life with school food, that was until the wind blew and he'd caught her scent. It was one he recognized almost instantly, Alice Swan. The girl he'd met Saturday in the meadow, the one he'd left there completely alone after having talked for some time. Wonder if she's mad at me for the vanishing act? One way to find out I suppose. With the final thought forming in his head Jasper took a slight breath and called out to the girl, "Hey Alice! Mind waiting up?" Hopefully she wasn't to upset about the other day and would still want to talk to him. Tags~ Aliese!! Word count~ 406 Paragraphs~ 2 Wearing ~Outfit

***** Alice sighed as she lightly drummed her fingers on the top of her desk as she glanced at the clock that hung above the chalkboard. Her history professor was going on about one of the battles of the Civil War and she could barely keep her eyes open. It wasn't like she normally fell asleep in class but she hadn't been sleeping right lately and when she noticed that the bell would be ringing in about five minutes she closed up her binder and began to pack all her things into her backpack. As she began to zip up her backpack the bell went off announcing the end of class and the beginning of lunch, a period that she would not be joining her friends in. In the cafeteria they would be serving sloppy joe's and since Alice wasn't a fan of the food to begin with, not mention the fact that she was wearing a lot of white, Alice decided that she would go have lunch at the local diner. They were pretty good about serving people quickly and Alice had only ever been late to class once when she'd gone to the diner for lunch during school hours.
Slipping her arm through one of the straps of her backpack, Alice walked out of her class then began to make her way towards the parking lot. She was digging through the small pocket of her backpack for her keys when she heard a familiar voice call out to her and ask her to wait up. Going suddenly rigid, Alice slowly turned to look at Jasper and felt her heart rate increase as she stared at the guy who had disappeared quickly from their last meeting. She was still confused on how he had done that but when he caught up to her she put a smile on her lips and said: "Hey Jasper. What's up?"
With both of them heading for the doors that would lead outside to the parking lot, Alice was pretty sure that Jasper was about to make his escape as well but she wasn't sure if he was actually done for the day or if he was just going to go get something to eat really quick for lunch. Although she was looking at Jasper, Alice's hand was still digging through the pocket and when she found her keys she pulled them out before zipping up the pocket again. Glancing towards the parking lot, Alice looked back at Jasper and asked: "You going out for lunch too?"

A smile played onto his lips as Alice stopped and wait for him, it wasn't something he was expecting due to his vanishing act. He quickened his pace just a bit what would be a normal humans jogging speed so he could catch up with her easier. "Not much really, just bailing on lunch. Seems like I'm not the only one." He thought about apologizing again for the other day but figured it was best to leave it alone until she brought it. As he reached her side he slowed his pace to match her's and gave a warm smile despite the fresh wave of her scent assaulting his throat, good thing he'd feed yesterday. Jasper wasn't sure whether it would be alright if he invited himself along or if she would get upset by him just figuring he could tag along. So he figured he would just ask and maybe follow her even if she denied his joining her. "Soo Aliese, do you mind if I join you for lunch, considering you are suppose to be my tour guide." Their little adventure in the woods the other day replayed in his head a bit, as they made their way to the parking lot. Jasper still wasn't positive on how she was feeling toward him and he wasn't sure on how to get that freaky feeling others emotions thing worked so he couldn't really use that. Jazz stopped for a second to think about whether he would be fine in a compacted space with Alice if she wanted him to tag along, I'll be fine, I've got this feeding thing under control I think. . He nodded his head to reassure himself and glanced at Alice giving a light smile "So whatya say, can I tag along?" It wasn't like him;Jasper never willingly allowed himself to get close to people. Especially if it was someone he'd just met and really it was worse now because she was human. Jasper couldn't explain it though he felt some attraction to her and wanted to explore it see how it deep it ran, and to make sure it wasn't just some deep rooted lusting for her blood. Jasper never really developed a strong emotional bond with anyone except his sister and Maria, though he wasn't sure that he would even develop any type of feelings beyond friendly ones for the girl. ***** Alice smiled as she heard her name leave Jasper's lips. The obvious east coast accent caused her name to sound a bit different but at the same time she liked how it sounded. When Jasper asked if he could join her for lunch she brought her hand up then placed her finger lightly against her lips as she pretended to think about whether or not she wanted Jasper to join her. After a few seconds her smile grew and she nodded as she motioned for Jasper to join her as she began to head towards her car again as she said: "I did agree to be your tour guide and since I'm not sure how much of the town you've seen I've got to give you a tour of our town before I work my way on to the school."
When they reached her car, Alice pushed the button that allowed her to unlock the doors before she tossed her backpack into the backseat then slid into the driver's seat. After putting on her seat belt, Alice made sure Jasper was secure in her car then pulled out of her parking spot and made her way through the parking lot. As she maneuvered her way through cars, Alice glanced at Jasper before turning her eyes towards the road again as she asked: "So how has your day been so far? Classes aren't too difficult or anything for you are they?"
Despite being busy with friends and cheerleading, Alice had managed to maintain a high GPA. There were a couple of classes that she struggled with more then others but those were her science classes since Alice had never been a huge fan of science. Everything else came easy to her so she didn't have to spend as much time on homework or assignments for them as she did with her science work. If Alice had her way then she wouldn't have to take science to graduate but since she was supposed to be well rounded in all the subjects in order to graduate from Forks, she sat in her classes and did what she was told to do.
Pulling out of the parking lot, Alice made her way towards the center of town and wondered where Jasper would want to eat. There weren't too many options in Forks as far as dining went but there were still a couple different places. Deciding that she would take him to her and her friends favorite hangout, Alice headed towards the towns local diner. They had a little bit of everything so Jasper was bound to find something he liked.

I'm descending into Hell A.K.A High school
She agreed to show him the whole town during their lunch period. Wonderful Jasper was going to get back to class late, which in turn meant less time he'd have to suffer through the day it was a good trade off. Time in the classrooms seemed to drag on and it wasn't something he'd been looking forward to returning to; top it off with the other kids smelling of rusted iron and salt and you had a disaster waiting to happen. Twice today Jasper had to dedicate all his attention on the boring economics and anatomy text just to keep from draining the poor girl who sat next time him in the class. His thirst was under control for the most part it was just he hadn't counted on getting that close to the other students.Well it is possible the girls had scooted closer to him than they should have been in the first place, but he couldn't help that he had a sort of Greek God appeal to him now for some strange reason.
Jasper was in a sort of daze as he followed Alice to her car and tossed his backpack into the back seat following her after she'd motioned for him to follow her. He wasn't sure where the femme had in mind for lunch but he was sure he wouldn't be able to eat anything on the menu. He'd tried to eat human food once before and it hadn't been pretty; though he did manage to get the food down it was the after effects that were miserable for him.Human food had become completely and utterly unappealing to the boy though he figured he would have to bear through eating some today to keep up a human facade for Alice. "Classes are fine, a bit easier than what I'm use to but then again I was the salutatorian for my class." It wasn't something he'd usually brag about and also didn't quite seem to fit his character but Jasper was really smart and had one of the highest GPAs in his old school. School, being the salutatorian, it all felt like another life time to him at the moment. All Jasper could really focus on was the blurred edges of the trees and cars that they passed on the way to the dinner Alice had decided they would eat at. He wasn't sure how he would pull off this human facade if he couldn't stomach the food at the dinner but then again he could just blame it on the food being to greasy or something like that. A smile crept onto his face as he noticed Alice's reflexes and slight muscle twitches as she drove. He wasn't staring at her but out of the corner of his eye he could catch every movement the girl had made or would make no matter how slight it was. There was something kind of captivating about the way her body moved and the blood flowed through her body. He could almost hear the light swoosh of the flow and the rhythmic beating of her heart. Jasper had gone to holding his breath every now and then only releasing it when he'd felt certain he would be able to control the thirst or she'd asked a question about something. After all the boy was raised better than to not be good and polite company. "Um Aliese, I know I kinda vanished the other day. . . " Jasper started not really sure he was going with it but felt he had to apologize again or at least offer some explanation " It's just something came up and I had to go. . . I'm sorry about just leaving the way I did." If she'd ask him to explain how he'd gotten away so quick he'd play if off as he didn't know what she was talking about and if she demanded an explanation for the kiss he would play dumb again even though he'd keep a sly grin to show he was purposely withholding information from the femme. ***** As Alice's thoughts traveled back to the last time she had seen Jasper she felt herself blushing slightly. The kiss had been completely unexpected and then he'd disappeared quickly. She knew she hadn't had her eyes closed long enough for him to reach the tree line but somehow he had disappeared on her. She wanted an explanation but how could she ask him something that would make her sound like she was crazy. Or worse, what if it made her sound like she had been completely captivated by his kiss. What if he said he left her sitting there with her eyes closed and she just lost track of time. Alice didn't want to come off sounding desperate so she just kept her mouth shut as they drove through the town towards the diner.
"It's ok. I'm sure whatever you had to do was important." Alice said with a polite smile as she glanced at Jasper then looked straight forward again at the road. With a nervous laugh, Alice turned right onto a road into town and said: "Although your kiss kind of caught me off guard. I ended up having the weirdest dream of you later where we were out in the meadow and you were glittering."
Mentally cursing herself, Alice winced and felt her hands tighten on the steering wheel as she internally cursed herself out. How could she tell Jasper about the dream she'd had later. He was bound to think she was desperate or obsessed with him. Biting her lip nervously, Alice let out a sigh and glanced over at Jasper with a small grimace on her face.
"I'm sorry. It's not like I don't usually make comments like that and it's not like I dream about every guy that kisses me." Alice quickly said before she came to a stop at a stop sign and lowered her head to the steering wheel letting out a soft curse. She couldn't believe she sounded like some immature junior high girl with her first crush. Jasper probably thought she was a complete freak. She knew she would think she was nuts if she were in Jasper's place and after a few seconds of resting with her head on the steering wheel, Alice lifted her head up and looked over at Jasper with a weak smile on her lips. "If you want to ditch me now I wouldn't blame you."

No mention of him just running off, which was perfectly fine with him. Jasper really didn't know how he would have explained just vanishing like that without giving away what he was and he wasn't exactly an expert on making up excuses just yet. The strange sensing other peoples feelings must have started to kick in again because Jasper was starting to get a hint of nervousness in the car, which definitely wasn't coming from him. Though he had no idea why Alice would be nervous, after all this was just lunch with the new kid so he didn't feel like a complete loser his first day wasn't it? Either way the concept of her being nervous was further highlighted by a light blush tinting her cheeks; which he admitted to himself was kind of cute on her.
Alice seemed okay with the excuse that he'd had something important to do and said it was fine that he'd just vanished the way he did. Though she was okay with him just vanishing she did bring up the kiss. The femme wasn't asking for an explanation though, just mentioning she'd been caught off guard by it. That was something he'd already assumed though so it didn't come as much of as a surprise compared to what the femme said next. "You had a dream about me? I was glittering? Wow. . That's um strange." It couldn't have been any weirder. Jasper was positive he'd never been posed to the sun in the first meeting so how could she have dreamt that he was glittering? Unless, could it have been possible that Alice knew about him and what he was!? No the notion was silly how could she? Shaking his head slightly Jasper looked over at the femme.
They'd come to a stop and she had her head against the steering wheel cursing slightly. She'd blabbed on about how she didn't dream of every guy she met or something like that Jasper was still trying to recover from the shock that she'd dreamt of him glittering. Even without his gift Jasper could tell the girl had felt like she'd just made a fool out of herself and was embarrassed by the things she'd said. Everything about her was interesting though and it wasn't something that would drive him away in fact Jasper was truly smiling, something that was very rarely done for him even before the change.
"Aliese, I would not bail on you, you have so graciously invited me to lunch and we have yet to have that portion of our date. Also how would I find my way back to the school?" The last part his voice had gotten lighter and was purely kidding, though the young male wasn't sure how Alice would take to him calling their little outing a date. Just to reassure her Jasper looked over and brushes a finger softly down her jaw line before leaning in just enough to kiss her forehead softly. Maybe you're fallin for her dude, you wouldn't act this way normally. . . The thoughts came quickly and Jasper nodded to himself as he pulled back, he knew it was true. He was starting to actually really like this femme he barely knew. Tags~ Aliese!! Paragraphs~4 Wearing ~Outfit

***** Alice found herself smiling slightly when Jasper said that he wouldn't bail on their date. Inwardly she was grinning like an idiot that he thought of this lunch outing as a date, but at the same time her nervousness returned full force. She prayed that she didn't make a complete fool of herself on this meeting. Sure Jasper was the new guy and even if she did embarrass herself she doubted that anybody would believe him. Alice was always the epitome of calm collectedness. She never made an idiot of herself and if Jasper tried saying she had nobody would believe him. Of course Alice didn't think that Jasper would say anything if she did.
Turning right on to the street, Alice pulled away from the stop sign and smiled as the diner came into view. The diner had always been one of Alice's favorite places to eat and more often then not whenever she went out with her friends they ended up in the diner at one point or another. Even when they were going out to Port Angeles or somewhere else, Alice would recommend the diner first before she even considered anywhere else. Glancing at Jasper she said: "We're almost there. I hope you don't mind diner food. There aren't really a whole lot of dining options in Forks and to be honest I prefer the diner to other places. It's really simple and the food is always home cooked."
Pulling into a parking spot, Alice smiled at Jasper before cut the engine and stepped out of her car. Closing the driver side door, Alice pulled open the back door then pulled her wallet out of her backpack before slamming her door shut and heading towards the diner. Once the two of them were in the restaurant, Alice made her way towards one of the small table and took a seat with Jasper sitting across from her. As Alice shrugged out of her coat, she let it fall over the back of her seat as the waitress walked up to them with menus. Smiling at her as she took her menu, Alice waited til she handed Jasper his menu then asked if she could get them something to drink. After ordering a lemonade, Alice turned her attention to Jasper and smiled while she waited for him to place his order.
