IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way) Bella was never one to wander into the forest alone. Jacob had warned her on more than one ocassion that it wasn't safe for her to be in the forest alone. That there was always something, someone ready willing and able to hurt her but she, more often than not went against his wishes...today was no different.
It was raining again and despite her living here her entire life, she hated the rain with a passion.
She sighed as she pulled her jacket tighter around her body, her hair dripping wet from the rain that pelted against her face. She wished it would let up or just stop all together. It should not rain this much ever. She knew her mother would have questions as to where she'd been after school, Alice would be home in a few minutes once practice let out and Bella would still be outside...there was no doubt in her mind that Esme would worry but Bella couldn't be bothered with that just yet.
She found a small spot under a tree that was just perfect enough to shelter her from the rain and she took advantage of it, walking over and sat with her back against the tree. Slowly, she allowed herself to get comfortable, relaxing there for a moment. Rain aside, it was a near perfect day. Why near perfect and not completely perfect? one word. Edward. The new kid in town, the new guy...the one who, despite making it known that he could not standing being around her couldn't seem to look away from her. He'd look at her when she wasn't looking and when she looked at him, he seemed to scowl...it was almost an angry expression and Bella couldn't figure him out.
She groaned in annoyance, looking down at her hand for a moment where her engagement ring was. She smiled happily. She'd been growing somewhat impatient, not wanting to wait until graduation...which was still almost an entire year away...she'd talk to Jacob later about possibly pushing the date up to later this year. She enveloped herself in her thoughts, seeming to drift away from reality...a smile tugging her lips as she sat there...lost in her thoughts.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ It was late, very late. The hoots of owls echoed in calling, out into the misty air, fog only faintly covered the ground, as the rain continued to pour, The moon was visible on such a dull day the sun hidden behind thick gray clouds. Yet the glow in the day cast it's eerie light over the canopy of twisted trees, elongating the trees roots into unwelcoming tendrils. There shadows stretched out upon the forest floor as the loomed over small creatures. The screeches of foxes sounded, surrounding the area with the calls of nature. To many would stray away from such a sight and sound, yet a boy, lone, pale and with deadly accuracy and precision didn't mind it. In fact he hunted it. It was after all better the socializing with humans. He had had his fair share with humans at least for that day, he doubted he would ever socialize with them again, Or place another being in danger., Much as he had done with that girl, Alice and her sister Bella. Many times did the boy's hawk like vision which was haunted by those whom he had slay all that time ago, that long time ago. The screams sometimes still echoed in his mind, like a consent reminder. Dew covered the grass and other foliage the silence stretched now, and was prolonged only by the occasional snap of a twig as animals searched for food.
There was however, one specific animal. A creature, and a predator to other animals and humans alike, whom to which roamed the forest at the present time, unknowing of what lay ahead, what had wondered into the forest of all places. The path this hunter walked was just as deadly, and now he was hunting. searching. Slipping through the trees, he prowled quietly, occasionally he would duck or leap over a fallen tree, only to nimbly land once again and continue his hunt. His feet barely making any sound on the forest floor. He moved at such inhuman, un-natural speed and grace that even the shadows themselves recoiled. The scent of a doe called to him, and reeled him in, filling his nose and dead lungs with a wondrous scent. His mouth all but pooled with venom, his eyes were black, a dark abyss, devoid of all human emotion savor for the gluttony need and lust to feed. A monstrous feeling, invaded his mind. His thoughts. His eyes remained a coal black, unseeing, yet seeing in so many ways.
There, eventually stood before the boy another creature, lone and grazing idly, it's ears flicked in the night. Weary. It's eyes bright. Yet In the shadows, unknown to the poor creature stood that very predator. Edward Cullen. The pray in which he desired still oblivious to the fact that death would soon be the outcome, grazed continuously. With the creature so close, it's scent sharp and tempting, teased Edward's very instincts and a tremble of hunger shuddered through his body, like wild fire. Fire that often only belonged to that of a Hunter. Edward circled closer keeping the creature in sight, as he moved forward further still. Not yet did he wish to scare her, not yet. Eventually he moved till he stood behind it, it's scent strong and overpoweringly sweet. It would of course not state the full hunger he yearned for, yet it would only faintly satisfy him, Excitement grew at the prospect of such, Warm, crimson liquid touching his pale cold stone lips. Tainting his being further. But he was of course, neither good, nor bad, neither angel nor devil, he was a man, he was a vampire. Staring with eager eyes Edward gazed to the innocent creature, Edward could not help yet pity the poor thing. The doe was young, barely a little one nor a mother. He was closer now.
Suddenly, the doe took heed, sensing the immediate danger. It took flight. In a blur unseeing to the human eye Edward moved fast. He circled around to the side of the creature as it darted form left to right. Approaching it in swift notion, Edward had cut it off, grappling onto the innocents body, with swift notions, a sharp click sounded. With a parting of his pale lips. He tore at what he wanted. Blood. It filled his mouth in a rush, Turning his once pale marble lips into a grotesque red. Slowly his eyes returned to a light color, the familiar golden liquid topaz yet not completely he still had much to hunt, The doe of course lay motionless at his feet, it's eyes open in horror, Edward caught the flicker of light left in the creatures eyes. Before it, like a candle was snuffed out. Lifeless and still. The poor creature never stood a chance. Just then another scent alerted him, as he raised from the body, he tasted the air, the scent as human, as he tasted further, he found his throat burned. It was her and she was close, perhaps even wondering his way? The wind carried her scent, without thought, he moved swiftly through the forest and followed the scent, he had to make sure, but he wouldn't couldn't take a life not again, it would only lead to a frenzy he was incapable of controlling. He moved swiftly passing trees, to her side, she was sitting under a tree gathering shelter, he moved again swiftly he maintained a safe distance but it was evident in her movements, her expression that she knew he was there, if not him than something.

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way)
Bella was never an alert person, it was why she always tripped. She was always focused on something else, somethign that had nothing to do with what was going on around her. She'd look to her left whe she was walking in a striaght line, she'd look down when she was turning a corner -that was why she bumped into people...or walls- It wasn't a secret, she was the most clumsy person anyone could ever meet...Her sister made sure to point that on on many ocassions and the constant laughing of other students were also a dead giveaway...she often wished that she could be mor elike her sister. Talkative, social, have lot of friends, be popular...be beautiful.
The shuffling of bushes and leaves around her, snapped her out of her thoughts and for a moment she thought for sure she'd seen something moving in the distance but it was too fast for her eyes to make out...an animal perhaps, or it could be one of the quileute wolves patrolling the forest. If that were the case than they would surely tell Jacob she was out here alone, she'd get an earful later.
She ran a hand through her hair as she go to her feet. Not getting much help from gravity...the minute she was on her feet and went to take a step, her foot caught a branch and she went sailing to the ground with a soft thud and the faintest 'woah' sound left her lips. An angry sigh left her as she sat up, dusting her shirt off. It took her a few seconds to realize the small pinch she'd felt in her hand...it wasn't much, she'd gotten a splinter. Who would have thought something so small like a splinter would sting as badly as it did?
She used her other hand to pull the splinter out, pinching it between her index finger and her thumb. Thankfully it didn't bleed, that was the only good thing that had come of the fall. Had there been any blood and she would have been out like a light, passed out at the first sight of blood.
She got up again, dusting the back of her jeans off and took a breath, mumbling under her breath. Had anyone been close enough to her, they would have heard 'stupid, clumsy...cant i at least once walk without falling or hurting myself?...im like a walking disaster waiting to happen...im surprised I haven't gotten myself killed yet.'
It took just a moment for her to gain her composure -or at least some of her composure-...she took a breath and started walking further into the woods, just deep enough that she still knew how to get back to town. Wasn't everyday she got the chance to wander around without JAcob constantly worrying or nagging her about how unsafe it was for her to be alone...especially with Victoria still wandering around the area but Bella was certain, the red head had been driven away by the wolves...at least for the time being, she was safe.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ She was closer than he had first thought, he had stopped moving, but from his current position, he could see her, he watched her, his eyes burned with intensity and curiosity, there was so much he didn't know, so much he wanted to know, but the question was how? Before he could move, before he could react to the fact that she her self was moving, as soon as she took a step she was instantly on her face, the dirt covered her clothes she even had mud and leaves snag at her hair. She was perhaps the most clumsiest person he had ever seen, let alone met, surely it was impossible for someone to fall over that amount of times? Obviously not for the girl Bella, a part of him wished to at that moment reach out and help her but the rational part stopped, which helped as he held himself in check. She was getting to close, he would either have to risk exposure or talk to her and hope that he could make a swift exit, and in doing so get her out of the forest why was she even in the forest, did she not realize the danger? Holding his breath he decided to take the latter option he had to get her out of the forest, he was surprised that her so called lover did not stop her, was he not concerned for her safety at all?
Before she spotted him he moved swiftly swooping around, until he slowed his foot steps to a walk, and put on the most human show he had ever done in his entire life. Climbing over the log elegantly, he looked up at that moment and spotted Bella approaching him. Instantly he held his breath. Too close, too soon. Even as he held his breath her scent still teased him, his eyes returned to their original black coloring, he looked away as if that would change anything, but of course it wouldn't. Cussing silently in many languages, he cussed himself why was he so stupid? This was dangerous beyond dangerous, perhaps she would leave if he gave her the cold shoulder?. Coming to a stop, as Bella later spotted him, he collected himself, and spoke without thinking, his jaw tensed, his strong jawline and pale cheekbones, even more pronounced. "You shouldn't be here." He stated suddenly, his voice was cold and harsh, yet smooth, his tone a simply melody surrounded and coated in fine silk and satin, the words flowed effortlessly. However he instantly wished to take it back, of all the things he could of said? Still perhaps she would listen to him? yet something about her, indicated that she wasn't the type to do as she was told.
Still he didn't not stop, did not apologize instead he continued. "Your treading on dangerous ground, do you not realize how dangerous it is? how much danger you are in at this moment?"] A Part of him was screaming at him to shut up before he said to much, yet another part wished to frighten her, to chase her away, to get her out of the forest away from him He gazed to her with cold eyes, his jaw twitched he needed blood and soon, why did he even think this was a good idea? "The forest is dangerous." he stated matter of fact and wished to add I'm dangerous Yet he held his expression, composed himself. "You need to leave." he urged her, his eyes narrowed faintly to her, although her wide brown eyes, and heart shaped face caught his attention, her hair had the odd twig in it, along with the various leaves. An small part wished to laugh, yet mind of matter, and mind won, she was in danger, he was dangerous and the longer she stayed in the forest the bigger the risk. He really did not wish to hurt her, as it was he was fighting every possible instinct he could possibly house, he was fighting the sudden urge to get her to run and for him to follow swiftly behind to toy with her. Pressing his lips tightly together in a thin perfect line he maintained he distance

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way)
Bella felt her self jump at the sound of the voice. She recognized it from the one or two times she'd heard him speak at school...though he never spoke to her. In fact he never acknoledged her existence. Why he was talking to her now was a mystery to her.
"I shouldnt be here?..." she questioned curiously, biting hard on her lip...a nervous habit of hers. He was beginning to sound a bit like Jacob and his next comments made her think Edward was more like him than she thought. He started on about dangers and how much danger she was in at the moment but the only people here were them...as far as she knew they were the only two people in the forest "Well I dont see how its any business of yours." she murmured silently, bearely above a whisper.
There was something in his eyes that made her believe he wasn't lying. That almost frightened her to the point where all she wanted was to run but she couldn't bring herself to move her legs. Her mind was telling her to run, leave and not look back and yet her body disobeyed.
Again he spoke of the danger within the forest and she nodded herhead "Im aware." was all she could manage to say, words seemed to escape her at the moment. She was stuck. Stuck between running away from him as fast as she could -and risk possible injury when and if she fell- or stay here with him and get answers to the many questions she had.
She shook her head quickly, hair whipping across her face, wind blowing it every which way "I...you...w-why do I need to leave?" she emphasized the word 'need', hoping he would take notice to the curious look in her eyes. The way he said she needed to leave, that she was in danger, it almost sounded like a warning. As if he were a threat to her, she found that hard to believe. The only possible threat toher was Victoria...her and just about every other vampire out there but Jacob and his pack had made perfectly sure that she was safe, some even took up double shifts patrolling the forest to ensure her safety. There was no way, absolutely no way Edward was a vampire. If he were then it would be the first time she'd heard of a vampire posing as a high school student...it wasn't likely "I think i'll stay."

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Never had he met a more stubborn female than the one that stood before him at that precise moment, she feared him he could smell it, so if she did, why was she not running, he wished to yell at her to run, but again he doubted that it was have little affect, if anything. His black eyes met hers, and captured them holding her gaze for a long moment he hear the sudden increase within her heart beat if only a fraction the fear was there, weak but still there. I shouldn't be here?... She questioned her tone disbelieving and curious. He simply looked to her his dark eyes flashed to her lips at the sudden movement before he raised them to meet hers once again. "No. You shouldn't." Edward said simply confirming the matter to at least try and make her feel uncomfortable in the attempts to make her leave, but she was proving difficult.
Well I don't see how its any business of yours. Bella had spoke, although her voice barely made it, to his ears, had he been human he probably wouldn't of heard her speak. "It is everything to do with my business..The longer you stay here the dangerous it gets for both you and I, if you were smart you would leave." He stated his tone cold and flat as he gazed to her intently. Whatever she was about to say she stopped, her eyes danced, with emotion he barely even registered, yet it had him hooked once again curious still. Fruitfully he tried to read her mind, her thoughts but once again he was greeted with the same barrier. What was she thinking? the need to know what it was that played through her mind was all to consuming, it nagged at his mind endlessly, he wished to ask her several questions but the place and time was far from appropriate. Just then the wind picked up, blowing Bella's hair around her shoulders, exposing her neck, his breath caught, although he did not need to breath, it had become a habit over the years, swallowing the venom that begun to pool in his mouth.
I...you...w-why do I need to leave? Bella then asked, her voice quiet. All the while he kept his expression blank, his tone level and serious, yet still as soothing. "Because, you are not safe, you being here is not safe." He stated he took a daring step closer to wards her willing her to run. When the wind caught her her, her scent was stronger, the scent of dog He knew then just who this, Jacob character was. "Has your boyfriend told you not to come here? Does he not concern himself with your safety? I suggest you leave now." He turned to leave, the air whipped around him the scent pf pray filled his dead lungs further, yet the most overpowering scent was that of Bella's I think I'll stay. She called out, Dammit! why was she so stubborn! All she had to do was leave, to leave now and then she would be safe, why he was so concerned with her safety all of a sudden as beyond him, but he couldn't care less at that moment. Turning back around he walked to wards her stopping a few feet away. "You are a fool to stay." He spoke, his tone this time was low, lower then before his words really only meant for her ears.

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way)
His telling her that she shouldn't be here, only made her want to be there that much more. Why would he care if she was here or not? Why was it so important that she leave? Why would she be in danger if she stayed here any longer than he wanted her to? His next comment made her eyes narrow slightly...if she were smart? It sounded like he'd been questioning her intelligence, taht angered her. She could feel her heart beating faster as she fought back the urge to scream, knowing that with her anger came her tears...her emotions were almost all linked to her anger...she cried when she was angry, upset, sad, happy...any emotion that caused her to feel something strong was enough to make her cry.
"Then I guess im not that smart." she answered stubbornly, watching him with curious eyes. Why would her being here make it dangerous for the both of them? It didn't make sense.
She watched him closely, her eyes studying his face, taking in every aspect of him. His perfectly chiseled face, the shirt he wore, which clung perfectly to his body, his jacket that hid his fit arms...she found herself blinking a bit, trying to gather her thoughts but at the moment all she could think about were the questions that had been nagging at her ever since she met him...this slightly annoying, aggravating yet strong and perfect in every sense of the word guy in front of her had captivated her. He filled her dreams, her thoughts...he was just constantly on her mind. Even though he made it clear that he hated her -or at least didnt like her very much- she still thought about him more often than not.
"I- once or twice." she lied, he'd told her not to come here alone on quite a few occasions, the most recent being just last weekend. His suggestion that she leave was beginning to sound more like a demand and she found herself stubbornly shaking her head once again.
Then she watched him as he made his moves to leave but he'd turned around, stopping dead in his tracks at her last sentence and she watched as he took a few steps forward, moving closer to her. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared at him, her eyes fixed on his dark eyes...onyx black. She wanted to look away but couldn't bring herself to look anywhere else but at him. He drew her attention, his eyes though dark held such deep seated emotion...emotion that he seemed to try so hard to deny was even there "I- you can't make me go..." she spoke, still as stubborn as ever "I- why do you care if I stay?"

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Bella stared at him, although he knew he should leave, turn and go, he couldn't bring himself to leaving her in the forest alone there was simply to much going on, to much danger that surrounded the forest, he wasn't the only monster out there, and although he posed no possible threat for Bella at that moment in time, the threat was still there, waiting one drop of blood, if that was the case he didn't know how he would react, he didn't want to know for that matter. Edward returned her gaze meeting her wide eyes, he was almost stunned by the emotion he saw, the emotion that appeared to be building, as her heart rate increased, and beat heavier, would she run? he doubted it she showed no real clue that she was afraid the fear that had surrounded her had simply vanished. His own eyes narrowed as he frowned deeply to her, why wouldn't she just listen?
Then I guess I'm not that smart. Bella commented and Edward's expression remained the same. "I noticed, if you were, then you wouldn't be here questioning me, instead you would be running." he stated as he shifted folding his strong arms across his chest he maintained his distance at least for now, he hadn't any idea if he could trust himself to move any closer, her scent was both compelling, and repulsive, namely the smell of wet dog. He stood there returning her gaze, waiting, waiting for the moment when she would run but nothing instead she remained there her eyes he noticed scanned his features, he said nothing for the time being simply waited as he willed her to run, to turn and run, his expression hardened, his eyes grew colder, he no longer looked like a man, but a monster. A Vampire. Yet he made no move to wards her direction, perhaps her common sense wold soon kick in?
No matter what he said or did, She would still not leave. His jaw twitched in annoyance, what could he do to get her to just go? I- you can't make me go... Bella stuttered, she was the shy type, perhaps that was another trait about her that made her all that more appealing. Can't make her go? He could, but he wouldn't or he would expose everything. "I wouldn't say that if I were you." Edward replied, deciding to settle with a threat, perhaps she would think twice? although he highly doubted it. Her next question caught him by surprise, I- why do you care if I stay? That was a good question, why did he care? why did he even bother to warn her in the first place? It wasn't like him, far from him he had never really been concerned with anyones safety other than his own and his family and now all of a sudden he felt the need to protect this girl? At that thought he looked away, removing his gaze from her he looked to the nearest tree. "I don't know.." he admitted, before he shook his head, he then looked back to her and took a testing step forward, he was closer now, close enough to reach out and touch her if he wished, but it was simply too dangerous, why was he even considering such things?
"Look what does it matter, I don't want you in the forest, and I am pretty certain that your boyfriend would not want you here either." He stated firmly as he gazed to her, his eyes narrowed and his gaze intense. He didn't wish to force her to do anything, he would even risk it to escort her away from the forest, at least then he would know she was safe, yet he frowned. Why was he so concerned? it didn't make sense. He barely even knew her.

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way) He seemed to be trying to scare he was the one that posed some kind of a threat to her off, like he was the one that posed some kind of a threat to her. That alone was enough to infuriate her. He wasn't going to hurt her, if he had been planning to hurt her then he would have dome so by now. Her lower lip trembled as she bit down on the inside of her cheek, she'd been trying -and failing- to hide her emotions and the fact that everything he said, everything he did...it only made it that much harder to leave.
His comment about how she'd be running if she were smart made her even more curious "You dont...you dont scare me." she replied simply, watching him for a moment with curious eyes as she took two steps closer to him, pausing for a second when she felt her foot touch the same branch she'd tripped over before. Thankfully she stopped in time to NOT fall on her face. She didnt want to get hurt and earn herself a lecture from her mother, Alice and Jacob when she got home.
"Your not me...and like I said...you can't make me leave. If you dont wanna be around you, you leave." she challenged, biting her cheek again. The rain had let up, only a light drizzle now but it was still rather cold. This was made obvious when she pulled her jacket somewhat tighter, hugging it to her body.
She noticed him stepping closer but he seemed overly cautious with each step he took "So...I have to leave because you say so?" she questioned, being stubborn as she crossed her arms over her chest. Jacob would be mad if she were here alone but she couldn't be bothered to care. She liked coming to the forest sometimes, just to take some time to think. Alice would want to take the biggest part of the wedding, decorating, invitations...she'd want to fix everything, even help Bella pick out a dress, the forest was really her only escape. "Im not leaving..." she repeated, stepping closer to him so the two were face to face "The way see it, I was here first...you should be the one leaving...I have every right to be here...alone or otherwise."

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Obviously, his attempts at scaring her away fell on deaf ears, dammit she was so infiltrating! Why was she effecting him so much? everything she did nagged at him, irritated him at times, never did anyone affect him so strongly as Bella now did. The fact that she affected him so much, almost scared him how would he possibly trust himself now when he was this close to the one human, that he at that moment would like nothing more then to drain her? He watched her, expression for a long moment her lower lip wobbled if anything she looked like she was very much about to burst into tears, but over what? He frowned deeply once again frustrated by the fact that he could not read her mind of all minds, he didn't know what she was thinking, if she was even listening to his comments. Yet his silent question was soon answered when she spoke, her voice wavered. You don't...you don't scare me. Bella stated and Edward's eyes narrowed at that moment. "I should, you should be scared." he stated although it didn't seem to make any difference.
Yet that was not all, Bella then approached him. Approached him of all people, the girl before him hadn't even registered the danger that was before her, he had a feeling although he had said very little that the girl knew all there was to know. He shook his head, none the less Bella was impossible. Your not me...and like I said...you can't make me leave. If you don't wanna be around you, you leave. Bella stated, a nose close to one of frustration and one of anger left his lips, much like a growl. "Why are you being so difficult!" he snapped, he paused a moment later, that wasn't like him to snap, what was worse, was the fact that he didn't even know why he should concern himself with her. If she was in the forest than it was her own fault, her own risk. Standing there for a moment, Edward studied her expression and the way she moved. She was cold, the wind was bitter. In that one moment he wanted nothing more than to reach out and rub her arms, to warm her up. Yet that was near impossible, the fact he even thought about it made him pause once more, again it was not like him to care so much. Bella, was affecting him in ways he could barely describe, and he didn't like it.
"Alright..Fine. I shall leave, but don't say I did not warn you." Edward snapped once more before he turned around and begun to walk away, yet the shuffle of footsteps behind him, caught his attention he tried to continue walking but he couldn't. Gritting his teeth for a moment, his jaw tense once more he turned around to face her, Her hair was damp beginning to collect the moisture, a few strands clung to her face, his own hair was beginning to grow flat, he had barely even noticed, the cold didn't affect him in any shape or form, yet his clothes were damp, and clung to his figure. So...I have to leave because you say so?
Bella question, it was no real surprise that she wasn't listening, wouldn't listen, it seemed that was something that Bella did little of, listening. In reply Edward nodded curtly, yes he said so, but he knew she wouldn't so was it really worth repeating himself when it seemed to fly right by her. I'm not leaving...The way see it, I was here first...you should be the one leaving...I have every right to be here...alone or otherwise. Came Bella's stubborn reply. Yes. Beyond difficult, beyond impossible. Shaking his head he had had enough, he wasn't going to win this one, and he was certainly not in the right frame of mind, when hunger nagged at his senses. Instead he forced himself to turn around and begun to walk away, with long strides, yet the odd part was, with each step he took the harder it became, he slowed his pace. Did he turn back? did he at least escort her out of the forest? He stopped in his tracks, and brought a hand to the bridge of his nose, this was exactly the type of thing Emmett had warned him about. Not to grow attached, and he was. He was attached to a human he barely knew, a girl incapable of walking along a flat surface without falling over, a girl who intrigued him more than anything.

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way) Bella shook her head, sucking in her lower lip a bit to keep it from tremblig again. She couldn't cry, she wouldn't. There was no way he could get to her like this. His words, the fact that he wanted her to leave and to be afraid of him, it almost hurt her...made her want to cry "Im not afraid of you." she repeated, hoping her voice was stern and held some authority though she didnt think it was possible. Her voice was always unsure, doubtful. Even when she was angry her words just came out as if she were questioning half the things she said.
Bella felt her breath hitch a tad higher, letting loose a shakey breath as he snapped, yelling at her. Had it been anyone else who had shouted and snapped at her the way he had, she'd be in tears by now but she held herself together, despite the small bit of urt she felt by his words. "I-im not." she muttered, walking one step closer and stopped "Im not being difficult. I just...I wanna know why- why you dont want me here? why you care...I just- I need to know.." she looked up at him, knowing now that there were tears in her eyes. She could feel them welling up in the corners as she spoke...why she let him get to her as much as he did, she didnt know but the fact that he seemed to hate her, want nothing to do with her...it hurt.
She opened her mouth to speak again but shut it before a word could pass, knowing what she had to say would fall on deaf ears.
She watched him walk just a few steps away before he turned back to face her. She wanted nothing more than to yell at him, tell him he was being stupid and ridiculous but words escaped her at the moment, she could think of nothing to say and so she stared at him, taking notice to his hair and wet clothes...he didnt seem to notice at all, she on the other hand was freezing. Barely able to keep her hands from shaking, she shoved them into her jacket pocket.
She let him walk the second time he turned away form her, not having it in her to follow him or to talk to him and yet, her feet moved, disobeying everything she told her body to do. She jogged slightly to catch up to him and once she had, she stood side by side, just a foot away from him "You can't hate me and be worried about me...you either hate me or you dont...you cant have it both ways..."

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Still she was persistent, refusing to be scared, he doubted that she was even slightly afraid of him, this was exactly what he did not want, Edward was a monster and this girl before him clearly didn't know what one was, or she would be running by now. Frustration didn't even begin to cover the emotion he felt at that moment. He wished there was something he could do, anything he could do that would change her mind, but there was nothing, not unless he physically forced her out of the forest, but that wasn't him, and he would never do that. When he snapped at her loosing his cool. He saw the tears blur in her eyes, pressing his lips together he watched her for a long moment until she continued.
I'm not being difficult. I just...I wanna know why- why you don't want me here? why you care...I just- I need to know.. Bella questioned, needed to know? she didn't need to know anything, in fact it was better if she didn't know at all. Bella's eye grew more teary, at the sight, Edward felt a sudden wave of guilt wash over him. "I'm sorry.." he apologized although struggled to keep his tone steady. "I didn't mean to snap at you, but you, you just push all the right buttons." He admitted and looked away as he blew out a long breath to collect himself.
What he knew, was that he had to keep a clear head, and he had to get Bella out of the forest, not only that but by doing so, he could not afford to show any signs of weakness.. Turing to look back to Bella, his eyes still a deep cold black, he gazed to her, evaluating her almost. However when he eventually did turn to walk away, he stopped in his tacks as the footsteps behind him, followed a soft shuffle, and the scent crept around him, through him, Venom pooled once again as he swallowed hard. He didn't need this, didn't want this. Turning back around for what he hoped was the final time he glowered to her as she spoke, her voice wavered.
You can't hate me and be worried about me...you either hate me or you dont...you cant have it both ways... She had said, she was right of course you couldn't hate and like at the same time, it was simply to hard, but it wasn't impossible. "Look, I don't know what I feel at the moment all I know is that I don't want you in the forest at this time. It's too dangerous and I'm sure your other half will agree. I am not having it both ways, I'm annoyed that you are simply to persistent, and will not do as your told, therefore you are difficult." He admitted before he sighed this was not going to end well it was to late now. Closing his eyes for a brief moment as he collected himself, he opened them, they were no longer cold or uncaring they were still black, yet held emotion. "If you will not leave on your own, then at least allow me to escort you out of the forest, that way, I know you are safe." He questioned. Yes it was certainly to late now. He didn't know how far he had fallen, but he knew that there was no going back.

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way) It wasn't like Bella cried for no reason, there was always a reason behind her tears. But in this particular situation she didnt know why she'd been so close to tears. She hardly knew him. He never spoke to her, he ignored her. He was ignorant and arrogant, rude...everything she would have hated in a person, friend or otherwise.
His apology, though it seemed forced, did help a bit. Even if she didnt fully believe him, at least he was trying. Of course the fact that he blamed her for his outburst was stupid and crazy but she couldnt muster up any words to express and describe exactly how she felt so, she nodded her head once instead and muttered the smallest of sorries under her breath, unaware of weather or not he'd heard her.
She blinked a few times, waiting until they were clear and free of tears before looking up at him and sighed slightly "Its fine, I- I overreacted..." she mumbled, lying through her teeth. She didnt believ she was overreacting, not one bit. She had every right to be angry, every right to be a little upset and yet, she couldn't be mad at him. The idea of her being mad at him was something she'd rather not think about.
She stayed next to him, her own body a mere foot away from his own, she was close enough that if she wanted to, she could reach out and touch him. But she didnt, she couldnt...Jacob was on her mind. She was engaged to be married and yet the only thing she could really focus on and think about was the guy who stood before her. The one who intrigued her, who called for her attention. She didnt know why or how, but she felt so incredibly attatched to him, part of her almost afraid of him leaving, fearing he'd never return.
Bella opened her mouth to protest, to deny everything he was saying but his request to escort her from the forest was an offer she simply couldnt refuse, she nodded her head lightly "Okay, Fine..." was all she said, still a bit hesitant and a little more than stubborn to let him help her. She wasn't worried about anything happening to her, she spent most of her time here anyways. As did her sister.

~ ♛ ~ IN YOUR HEAD, IN YOUR HEADT H E Y A R E F I G H T I N G~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ~ Silently he watched Bella, her expression was one of irritation, because of him, that he expected and probably deserved but he had his reasons, if only he could tel her, yet it was too dangerous, beyond dangerous. He should of turned and walked away when he had the chance to yet, instead he listened to his emotions, more so than his head, and that alone annoyed him, but there was no going back, that was certain. When Bella appeared calmer, and the tears where gone from her eyes, he listened and waited. Its fine, I- I overreacted... She muttered, although she hadn't, he knew that much, and it was obvious she was only saying it to move the topic along, so he replied in a simply manner. "No, you didn't. You have every right to be annoyed, and angry with me, I presume you dislike me at the moment, but trust me when I say it's better that you do live, and in doing so, you have to leave the forest." he admitted as he watched her with curious, questioning eyes.
She was close to him now, he could feel the heat of her body radiate from her, like she was on fire, that one touch would burn, instinctively he shifted sideways, increasing the distance between them, he had know her for a little while and already he fond himself wishing to touch her, to hold her and to caress her, in ways he had never even thought about. Frowning at himself he moved once more increasing the distance further, releasing a long low breath, Edward once again held it soon after, he couldn't afford to take any real risks at the current moment it was simply to dangerous, and he was far from trusting of himself to even be near her, yet here he was, and here he was offering to escort her out of the forest, what was wrong with him? Her scent although he held his breath still teased him and he was finding it increasingly hard to retain any matter of thoughts. Let alone his actions.
Okay, Fine... Bella eventually said, agreeing to be escorted out of the forest a sudden wave of relief washed over him, yet his facial features remained the same. Showing little in the way of emotion. Instead he nodded and replied, his tone low. "Thank you." With that he gestured ahead, and begun to walk partly beside her, yet at the same time close enough that he could still almost feel her scent surround him, although her blood, her scent called to him, called to the monster he had contained through all of these years, her scent soothed him in many ways also. It was hard to describe, just what he felt at that moment in time, but it was something new, something unexplored. As they walked his mind ticked over, with possible reason why he found this girl so intriguing. It was simply to hard for him to comprehend. As they walked he elegantly and gracefully stepped over a fallen log with little effort, he landed silently his feet as he walked barely made any sound.
Pausing he turned around to wait for Bella, to catch up, he doubted she hiked often, Her and climbing didn't seem to fit together all that well. Frowning lightly he deiced he would at least try to make her feel a little more comfortable, but that alone was a risk in it's self. What if he grew too comfortable with her? "So, what are you even doing in the forest in the first place, when I presume you have been told countless times, by your boyfriend? I take it you are not one, who listens to anyone" he stated as he raised a questioning eyebrow. His voice even to him he sounded all to formal, and all to old. Perhaps he would have to consider changing the way he phrased certain sentences?

IM IN THE BUSINESS OF MISERY
(lets take it from the top]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IM SORRY HONEY BUT IM PASSING UP(now look this way)
She couldn't help the small twitch in her lips as she fought off a smile, part of her wondering if he'd notice or not though for her own sake she hoped he hadnt taken notice "I dont." she spoke very quickly, and in a rather soft voice. Se was almst hesitant to admit that she didnt hate him or dislike him in any way, she wondered what that would mean later. It was already painfully obvious that there was something here, though both seemed to be trying desperately to hide it or to fight it entirely, like it would lead to soemthing bad or end in disaster.
His words didnt register as they would with someone else, someone less stubborn. The way he talked about her being in danger, it only made her more curious to know al she could about him "You talk about me being next to you as if its a bad thing...is it really that horrible to want to be friends?" she asked, her own eyes averting from him and looking toward the ground, taking careful and cautious steps as she walked. She didnt want to fall again.
As he thanked her, she bit her lip once more, hating how overly polite he was, it seemed as though it was something that came naturally to him, though the way he spoke sometimes often made her think of Romeo and Juliet. The way Romeo would talk in such a kind and gentle tone, it was always so elegant... She quickened her pace slightly to keep up with him and looked at him as he walked, he was only a few feet ahead of her and she thought it was a good thing too. If he was in front of her it would save her from looking at his face, from staring at his unbelievably beautiful features. His eyes, the slight twith in his lips as he spoke, the way his hair -once spiked- now fell a bit lopsided on his head, his clothes that clung perfectly to his chiseled form. He was beyong perfect. Beyond beauty.
At his question as to why she'd been out here despite Jacob telling her it wasn't safe, she frowned "He's told me more than once, I never go deep enough into the forest though, I always stay close enough to find my way back. Its quiet here. You have no idea how weird it is to be surrounded by people asking about Jacob...why we're getting married, whens the wedding...my sisters constant poking and prodding at me to let her plan everything..." she responded, watching him curiously and couldn't help but smile at him "I um- i've always been a bit...stubborn. I think I got that from my dad..." she explained. That and her inability to talk without feeling socially awkward were the only things she'd gotten from her father, where she got her clumsiness from she had no clue.
"Why were you out here?"
